The best charger, with exactly what you need in a small package.
This little charger is fantastic! It’s a 1.75A charger that out performs my larger old trickle charger. It’s a smart unit with an easy to read display. (One thing to note: it will specifically NOT work for LiFePO4 batteries. This will NOT do the charging profile required for ONLY those batteries, But it works VERY well for AGM and standard batteries.)I bought it to use the de-sulfate feature on some old UPS batteries, but they were too far gone. However, I’ve used it on my Harley battery as a regular charger and it’s been strong and reliable. It starts out as a regular charger, then shuts off when the battery is full, then automatically goes into trickle mode as it needs to.It’s got a great feature in that it displays what it’s doing. The display toggles back and forth showing the exact volts and amps it’s putting out as well as the graphical display of the battery filling up.It’s a “set up and leave it go” thing that will shut down when the battery doesn’t need it or it will turn back on when it’s needed.Recently my truck battery was too low to turn it over so I connected this charger. I like the voltmeter display. It showed 11.2v before I plugged it into the wall. Once plugged in, this unit displayed exactly what it was doing and had me up and fully charged over night. The next day I did notice that when I moved the cord at the connection, the screen went dark. I surmised that there are broken wires in the SAE plug. I contacted the seller asking for a new SAE plug to solder on, and they wrote back overnight that they are sending me an entire new unit! What great customer service! This is a great little charger that does all that I need backed by a company with great customer service!

Great charger…works well.
Battery tender works as intended. Easy to use and set up. Keeps my motorcycle battery charged and the quick connection adapter works great. Just wish the cord was a little longer.

Perfect for home use
Don’t usually leave reviews but this thing is mint. Simple and works perfect. The digital screen is clear, you can easily see what % your battery is at, and how many amps it’s accepting currently. Comes with a decent set of clamps as well as a pig tail for battery connection.

Good price, Works fine, charges very slowly....
Good bang for buck, works as it should, displays amps charging at and volts batt is at. No fan or built in features otherwise. Quality is fine, Nice item overall.

Good value and ease of use
I bought this charger because my 10 year old one (different brand) has had a lower maximum charging voltage over time. This charger also has a higher current output, so I expected a faster charge time. It actually takes longer. It sits at 14.8 volts as the current slowly falls to 0.5A, for hours. It is likely over 90% charged at this point, I didn't wait for it to stop. I like the display, as it shows you what is going on. It is easy to use and automatically selects 6 or 12 volts and starts when plugged in to AC power (connect clips to the battery first). You can also select repair and trickle modes manually. The actual battery voltage is a bit lower than what is displayed. I did not measure the current. The unit does not get as hot as my 1 amp charger. Both chargers interfere with AM radios, I suspect all these high frequency chargers do this. Overall, I like and recommend this charger, as it offers a lot for the money. The terminal clamps seem frail and I can replace them if they fail. If you have the time, it is better for batteries to charge slowly, as this unit does. I have a 45 year old 10 amp transformer-based charger for a heavily discharged battery or if time is short.NOTE: One important thing. In the safety section of the manual, it states not to use the repair mode with the battery connected to the vehicle. This may damage vehicle's electronics. If so, this should be in bold type. Why take a chance, disconnect the battery terminals if utilizing repair mode.
