Naturally Fresh Hummingbird Nectar Powder with Nectar Defender

This is the third time I'm purchasing this powder. The hummingbirds love it. I will confess that I found a liquid that was cheaper but these little birds just won't drink it so I came back on Amazon to order the stuff they really like. I was debating about whether to just buy the liquid version of this so that I don't have to mix powder but I didn't want to have to leave the opened bottle in my refrigerator for fear that my husband would pick it up and think it was Kool Aid or something.

Easy to mix, hummingbirds love this product. Because it’s and easily dissolved powder you make it as you need it so it never goes bad and you can save what’s left over from one year to the next.. I tried another more expensive brand followed the directions hummingbirds hated it and we’re gone for a month until I put this product back in their theaters. They were back the next day. It’s the correct balance that humming birds require

I really like this hummingbird nectar. The powder is concentrated, so it doesn’t take up much space and is easy to store. It mixes quickly, makes a clear nectar, and the birds seem to enjoy it. I also like that it includes Nectar Defender so it lasts longer in the feeder. The packaging is very good, making it easy to scoop and store the bag. I appreciate that there is no dye. The hummingbirds simply Are crazy for it. It's consumed so quickly, not able to comment on durability.The value, however, is a bit stretched.

Highly recommend this bird feeder. It lasts up to 2 weeks with no issues. It does not need to be boiled. Still 1 cup of Nectar to 4 cups of water. Birds love it ! Hummingbirds and Orioles.

Have used this all Summer and it has been a hot Summer. I have always used the two products separate but could not get to the City to buy the separate Nectar Defender liquid in time for my next couple of batches of Hummingbird nectar. With such a hot summer, it can be so wasteful with the nectar going bad and causing issues for the Hummingbirds. I took a chance and ordered this Product with the two together and it really was not that more expensive, over all. And I think I like doing it this way better. Safer for the birds, which to me is worth a few extra dollars and was easier to adjust the amount I made, which saved on waste as well.

I’ve tried other hummingbird mixes and prefer this one for ease of use and “mixability.” The hummers seem to like it. I haven’t had any problems with mold or other visible growth in the mixture. You should still clean the feeder and put in new mixture at least every 5 days, more often in hot weather, as it’s what you don’t see that could hurt the birds.

Forget making nectar from scratch. Well worth the money as this food mixes with water and lasts for 2 weeks even in the sun. Highly recommend! My hummingbirds love this stuff.

I bought this stuff originally when I got a feeder. It wasn’t available on Amazon and I found a cheaper alternative. However, fewer and fewer birds came and I ended up throwing away more and more unused nectar. Found this on Amazon and ordered. Sure enough, birds started coming again and I’ve even watch a fight or two over who gets to eat. I threw the other stuff away.
