Universal Smartphone Camera Mount - Microscope, Telescope, Binocular Smartphone Adapter

The mount is straightforward to use, and holds phones without slipping. The clamp that holds in on an eyepiece could accommodate a range of diameters, which is good.It works without a problem on one of my microscopes, but could not handle the eye relief of the school microscopes I have in my classroom. The phone cradle attaches to the eyepiece clamp with a standard 1/4-20 thread, so I was able to add a spacer that makes it functional. Points for that large bolt size, and metal components.The weight of the phone causes the clamp to drift out of position.All in all, it's a simple way to get images and video through a microscope. As a teacher, I'm pleased to have a way that students can record observations.

I have not had a lot of chances to use it yet but I found it works on my binoculars quite easily and the photos are fine if you can hold it still enough (rest it against something, hold your breath, take the shot). I bought it primarily for use on a nice microscope (teaching and research grade instrument). My level of success in obtaining a clear, crisp image with this system has not been very good so far. The trick is getting the camera lens aligned with the ocular of the instrument. Don't expect it to pop on and shoot right away. Nevertheless, it is quite adaptable to many instruments and it is made with good, solid materials. I plan to use it on a telescope during the solar eclipse.

I cheaped out and got this instead of buying a phone scope attachment. I had a hard time getting it fit on my vortex spotting scope even at wide open it seemed to be barely big enough. The adjustment is crazy in this and takes a lot of time to get the phone set right then the optics focus set. It is universal and maybe that is the problem for this application.

It's a good mount and works with my home and workplace microscope but takes a lot of time to set up

Seems like an ok product, but did not fit my Swarovski scope eyepiece.

This adapter will use on my telescope as a facility to view without dedicate for long time an single eye.

My 9 year old grand daughter has been fascinated.
