Yes. I run mine within a triple monitor setup.

Q: Does the tablet have to be connected to a computer to work?

Yes, it is a monitor, not a computer itself. It needs two connections: a video connection (DVII, though they provide adapters in the box) and a USB connection.If you want something that does not need to be connected, you effectively need a tablet PC. Surface Pro, Cintiq Companion, Samsung 700T, etc.

Q: Why does my pen clicking on things even after I've lifted it from the screen surface? My brush strokes keep going if I don't lift the pen more than 2"

This issue looks like the pen lost the focus due to severe tremble, driver or impact of magnetic device. The MVP22U(V3)+RH should have two pens. Do both pens have same problems? If one pen has this problem, please contact The Panda City -> RMA@ThePandaCIty.Com for replacement of pen.
