Autoline Pro's smoke machine worked flawlessly right of of the box. The instructions were straightforward and easy to follow, and the amount of smoke produced was fantastic. I was able to locate the EVAP system problems in about 15 minutes of setup and operation. The machine is well built and definitely worth the price.

Excellent product, well built. It has nice features: sturdy electric clamps, on/off switch, hanging hook. The canister is heavy duty with a well built lock and seal. I highly recommend. The one psi regulator seems to be more than adequate for my needs.I ordered it one evening and the next morning it was sitting on my front steps...less than 24 hours. great!

Today is July 14, 2024, and I purchased this smoke machine back in Nov of 2022. I am not a mechanic but like to save money and save other people money as well. I've only used this smoke machine on three cars but smoked two of those cars twice and the other car once. So technically I've used the smoke machine only five times. Now where I live the local mechanics charge $99 to smoke test an EVAP system each time. So, I've saved myself, family and my neighbors some money.As for the Autoline Pro Shop Series Smoke Machine itself, it has worked well, but not great for only five (5) times being used. It comes with a really good common-sense instruction manual and a replacement heating element or wick. However, my 1st wick only lasted three (3) uses before burning in half. I installed the replacement wick and per the instruction manual I pre-soaked the wick thoroughly with a turkey baster and even left the wick soaking in smoke fluid for several minutes before using. But it burnt in half before I could find the leak in my EVAP system.I did a little research online and found people suggesting to us wire out of a bread toaster to make a smoke machine heating element, apparently heating element wire is made from Nichrome wire for repeated heating cycles without burning up or apart. Since I needed to fix my car that day, off to the kitchen for the toaster. What I found was the toaster uses a type of flat wire while the Autoline Pro uses a round thin wire for its heating wire.I pulled the flat toaster wire out, ran it through part of the wick and crimped it to the factory connections then I gave it a try. Voila! Worked like a charm! Plenty of smoke and no problems. My bread toaster was a two-slice toaster which had four panels with the Nichrome flat wire running through it. I only used a small 3-inch piece of the toaster wire and still have plenty left over if needed again.Now the Autoline Pro in the Amazon ad states it has a 1-year warranty, but the manual states a 3-year warranty. The Amazon ad also states "lifetime guarantee" so I contacted Autoline, and they were really great to deal with. Autoline told me that the heating element or wick has a lifetime warranty and they sent me out a replacement wick free of charge. They also sent me a free bottle of smoke fluid.Knowing that in a pinch I can make my own heating element out of toaster wire and that Autoline stands behind their products, I highly recommend Autoline to anyone who wants to save some money and do repairs yourself. I'm even looking at Autolines smoke machine Plus that produces its own air. No more need for an external air compressor.

I will consider amending this review depending on company's response. I received the product Saturday morning via overnight shipping because it is a long weekend and I need this tool to diagnose my car this weekend.Opening the box everything looked to be of sturdy material. the instructions were easy to follow and the assembly went very simple. I hooked the device up to a battery and followed the instructions on warm up and use. It worked perfectly and i was very excited for the car to return from being driven that day to find my evap leak.when the my car returned i eagerly went to attach the unit again and get a quick test before it got dark. NOTHING! No power, no heat, no fan blowing. I swapped out the provided extra fuse eventhough the original still looked good. Still nothing.Im beyond frustrated at the prospect of it being friday night on a long holiday weekend unable to diagnose/fix my car as intended. I emailed the seller and as expected only received an automated reply. Amazon only directs me to contact the company.I will break out the multimeter and see if i can troubleshoot but this should not happen on day 1!!UPDATE:Company was very responsive considering it was a holiday weekend. I would give 5 stars for them as a company for this reason alone.They sent the suspected replacement parts and they were received 09/06/23. They also included an extra bottle of fluid for no charge. A quick test of the new part and it looks good for now!! I am changing my review to 4 stars because i cannot give 5 based on what happened. However, I will say that if i hadnt encountered the issue i had i would have gladly given 5.I am grateful for the support I received and i would give the company a chance again. My thoughts may change if it breaks again lol

Worked wonderful. Professional technician and used it multiple times. Heats up fast and can find leaks easily. Good product for the money.

This thing is amazing, built well, worth every penny. I have been working on cars since high school. 49Years old now. Got this the other day, opened it up put it together and used it on my 2005 BMW 325I, I found 4 different spots on the intake system that was leaking. Car was running good, But now it runs like brand new after finding and fixing all the leaks before the MASS air flow sensor. Definitely get the unit with the built in air pump. Best bang for the buck in a long time.

I should have bought this a long time ago! This smoke tester works great and puts out a nice thick smoke. Worked great to find a vacuum leak. Super easy setup and designed well. Buy it!

Received all parts needed, hooked it up as shown, and it worked Great! I would recommend this product, Very Happy with purchase.
