Works great in Linux Mint 20.04
Although the instructions say it's not supported on Linux, it does work just fine. Mint auto-loaded the drivers with no problem. Also, the instructions say that it requires the SATA to MOLEX power adapter has to be connected, it does not unless you need to run a USB-powered device. I'm just using it to connect to an externally powered USB drive, so it was a good surprise. Dell R710 doesn't have anywhere to plug the connector in, so wasn't sure if it would work. Drive is running fantastically faster than it did connected to the USB 2.0 that's built into the R710.

Great for Windows 10 and 2018 iPad Pros
This installed easily and was recognized instantly by Windows 10. Coming with a SATA power cable was a plus. Got this to speed up data transfers and provide power to my 2018 11" 512 GB and 12.9" 1TB iPad Pros. 10GB data transfer speeds and power to both iPad Pros work great while connected to both 3.1 USB C and Type A ports. Couldn't be happier.

Very happy Linux user.
Installed in Linux machine. My only complaint is that the terminals in the "molex" end of the SATA power cable were loose (contacts didn't match housing). It took a little wiggling to get it inspected. I'll probably replace the cable. Powered it up, and I had two new ports!

Works with Oculus Quest Link
I bought this for Oculus Quest link to PC. It didn't work at first, but keep in mind that this USB C port is not bi-directional. It matters which way you plug it in. If it doesn't detect the quest, try flipping the connector over and reconnecting. You may need to do this on both the PC port and Oculus port. Worked great once I did that.

Does Not Provide Advertised Power
The product seems to work just fine for data transfers only but after testing multiple connectors from my power supply I could only get a reading of 5 watts and 966 milliamps on the USB C connection that is advertised as provding 5v 3 Amps. I reached out to the manufacturer and they stated that "the card cannot support 5V/2.4A or 5V/3A as it does not support any charging protocol." I was able purchase the Ableconn PU31-1A1C with the same chipset and once that product was connected to the power supply it gave me the full 3 Amps on testing with data transfer! I fully recommend you spend the extra $4 and get that product instead: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0157BS5D0/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Design Flaw and terrible Write/Reads Speeds
I wanted to have a USB 3.1 Gen 2 USB controller in my desktop to operate at fast speeds with my Western Digital 1TB My Passport SSD which is a USB 3.1 Gen 2 device. The inateck KT2001 card arrived yesterday and I was able to install it in the evening – my motherboard is a high end ASUS Z170- Deluxe, one year old, latest BIOS. Install was a breeze, of course I connected power to the SATA power port on this card. I am using Windows 10 Prof. latest public release (Version 1703 Build 15063.632). The card was recognized immediately and the device manager showed the device accordingly (Generic SuperSpeed USB Hub) with drivers dated 4/11/2016 Version 1.16.35.1. It seems like it is the same driver version Inateck offers on their website for download. Connected my 1TB SSD Passport drive, recognized and working. So far so good but now it comes, write speed is about 180 MB/s and Read about 140 MB/s. If I connect the same drive same cable to one of the USB 3.0 (or 3.1 Gen 1) ports of my desktop the write speed is 300 MB/s and read even faster. This is not at all what I expected, I expected considerably faster speed then what I already have but not slower... What a disappointment. One other thing I have to complain about is the layout of this card, please see the picture – the USB-C port is not in the middle so there is no way to get a USB-C plug in there all the way since there is the case in the way preventing that so the USB-C port is unusable for me, very poor design. The USB-A port is fine located in the middle of the side face. Very disappointed with this USB 3.1 Gen 2 PCI Express Card. Update 10/7/2017: Updated my review to one star because of Inateck support insulting answer 1. asking me to use the driver on their website, if they would have ready this feedback they would know I already tried this and 2. they wrote: "By the way, the type C port is not designed in the middle. It is in the same line with the type A port. Do you accept this?" No I cannot accept this since everyone can see on the pictures that this port is vertically located off center of the side face plate. Please look at your own card!
