Quality Product!
I actually bought this as a gift for my husband for just a little dry scalp issues. I read from other reviews that it just helps with scalp in general, even if you want to promote hair growth or a scalp health.I have used this brand of product with their other items for several years so this is the one I went with because of the clean ingredients.I love the smell and I purchased a head massager type item to pair with it so that you can massage the scalp with it easily.Great product gives lots of moisture to hair and scalp. You can always shampoo your hair but just let it sit on your scalp for some time to give it the effectiveness.Always great items from Waleda

Great for dry brittle chemotherapy hair (men's)
My hair got really thin, dry and brittle from chemotherapy. No product would make it look healthy, even if it would keep it in place. Instead of that, I just splash some of this product on my damp hair after the shower (a little goes a long way) and it makes it look nice and healthy, without it looking oily; just the right amount of shine. It seems to replace the moisture in it or keep it in. It lasts all day, and longer, as I can feel it in the shower when I'm washing my hair the next day (which is a good thing, you want your hair to not be dry and brittle). It smells really nice too. I trim my hair on the short side, if that helps.

Safe for color-treated hair.
I use this as a pre-shampoo scalp oil. I've always used hair brushing as a first step to brush up the dandruff and spread my hair oils, but now that my scalp is drier I don't feel it is enough. I also have some itchy scalp that really only goes away for a week or two immediately after I dye my hair. I don't actually know what that's about, but this oil takes care of it. No more itch.I was worried that it would fade my hair dye as I've had trouble with even "color safe" shampoos immediately revealing my grey roots even just a week or so after dying. This oil does not lift the color in any way. It is truly color safe. After brushing my scalp I part it and with the oil poured in one hand use my oil-dipped fingers to spread the oil on my scalp. (A dropper would be WONDERFUL!) After going all over my scalp I then massage it in as though I am "shampooing". This works as a kind of double cleanse for the scalp. Just as cream makeup removers get stuff off your skin that ordinary soap can't, this scalp oil breaks up product that perhaps ordinary shampoo doesn't. I then leave this on for 15 minutes to an hour as I do think the herbal properties are doing good things for my circulation and are strengthening my follicles.I haven't used this long enough to address whether or not it stimulates hair growth, but I wouldn't be surprised. My scalp feels so fresh and clean and it and the hair near the roots LOOKS fresh and soft. It is a bit more effort to do this "pre-cleanse" but I feel that it's worth it both in terms of short term cleanliness and calming of scalp issues and, hopefully, in terms of long term hair health and beauty.I love Weleda's purity, reputation and fair pricing compared to similar items. This is very good value for money.

Mostly Peanut Oil
The first and major ingredient in the Rosemary oil is peanut oil. Read the ingredients list. I love the smell of rosemary but in this item, the rosemary scent disappears in about 60 minutes, on my skin, or in my hair. However, a small dab of this stuff smoothed into my hair does help with my dry hair frizzies. Weleda has an amazing marketing program and I find myself drawn to their products due to that marketing, however you must read the ingredient list to see what you are really getting, and what you are paying for.

Great
It is great hair oil... smells good and give a good treatment. I have to say that this is heavy oil for treatment... is perfect to use every other washer and have a second leave in to every other washer also...

Totally Tranformed My Hair
I have long, very coarse hair that is extremely frizzy. I've bought and used nearly every product for frizzy hair: Wen, coconut oil, Living Proof, Aveda, Kiehl's. Weleda's Rosemary Oil is the first product I've used that noticeably calms my frizzy hair. My hair has gone from feeling coarse and straw-like to soft and silky. You don't need very much of this oil. In fact, there is not a dispenser that dispenses drops of oil. Instead, there's the cap and a little plastic piece that sits inside the glass bottle neck, but the oil is free flowing. When I use it, what I typically do is press the flat of my palm against the lid (so there's no gap between the bottle neck and my palm) and quickly turn the bottle upside down or sideways to get about dime- or penny-sized amount of oil in my palm. I rub my palms together and then run that through damp hair, focusing on the ends. The first time I used this product I had far fewer snags, snarls, and knots in my hair.I will also add a similar amount (dime-size) to dry hair (usually at night before I go to bed) and it does wonders. For the first time that I can remember in years, my hair doesn't frizz out: it lies flat and feels wonderful.I haven't had an issue with the fragrance as other reviewers noted. I found it mild and it disappears once I run it through my hair. It is expensive given its size (1.7 ounces). Still, you don't need very much oil: a little goes a long way.I would highly recommend Weleda's Rosemary Oil.
