Dried Shiitake Mushroom

I was making potstickers/wontons I call them. I don't know much about Asian food and I got this recipe from a co-worker years ago! They were awesome! I reconstituted them in boiling water and wasn't in the position to save the broth (as the packaging advises), but I would for sure next time if I was being adventurous and doing soups or similar. Heck, on second thought, I should have just let the broth cool and drank it myself! Delicious! I used to order a brand from Amazon religiously for this recipe but they were discontinued some time ago. I tried the Vigorous Mountain Dried Shiitakes this time and they were out of this word. Good sizes, thick and meaty. Package was huge and price very reasonable compared to what I used to pay for the small size other brand. Highly recommended from a basic beginner with one recipe that is devoured every time I make it. Best mushrooms I've ever used in it.

These dried mushrooms are great for flavoring dishes! The reconstitute quickly and add just the fight amount of umami I am looking for! Plus you get a lot for your money. This is a good buy!

These Shiitake Mushrooms were much better then I expected. The stems were already removed and the mushrooms were sizeable, flat and well formed. I'd buy these again...

These are very beautiful when completely hydrated, adds a visually deliciousness to my ramen.

this is the best shiitake mushrooms. I just got tired to buy fresh mushrooms, hard to find the fresh one and when try to use it already not fresh fresh all. This one , I can use whenever I need. This is the best shiitake mushrooms.

My husband and I moved from the San Francisco Bay Area to Northwest Kansas 10 years ago. Finding cooking ingredients that were always available there have become scavenger hunts out here. Thus, Amazon plays a huge part in providing mushrooms, grains, various mixes, etc. We order a good variety of dried mushrooms, sometimes reconstituting and sometimes just breaking them in pieces and throwing them in the pot as is. We've never been disappointed in Vigorous Mountain products.

Nice, and the bonus is there are no dehydrated maggots in there like nearly every other dried mushrooms I've purchased before. So will be definitely buying this again!
