Will the water seep out from the bottom of the basin? I don't want it leaking onto my mat.

It is double layer pot. The outer basin has no drain hole at the bottom so should not be a problem. Plants and soil are placed in black inner pots. No seepage of water was found.

Prevents over watering!

I love these self watering pots with the water gage. Perfect for a person new to plants. Greatly helps to prevent over watering because you can see it. My plants are doing great. Easy to assemble. No malfunctioning of the gage so far. Will definitely buy as needed.

Good little pot

The water gauge wasn't what I thought it was going to be, but it works just fine. I keep my Venus flytrap in it and so far the plant is thriving! Definitely worth the purchase.

Pretty pots, easy to set up.

I wanted these pots to replace almost all of mine in current use. Potting soil and plants from the store often have gnats.These were easy to set up, easy to fill with dirt, and put in the plants. They look nice and I'm hopeful they work well.I have ONE issue with them and it's solely my own fault. I shouldn't have filled the water part up when I first planted them, it overwatered all my plants. So if you're going to use these, don't make the same mistake I did. Give them "some" water to help them settle in, then wait till they are dry to put the water in the container. (I didn't water from the top down either, just in the side where it goes directly to the bottom but they were SOAKED.These aren't the most sturdy. They are pretty lightweight even with soil/plant/water.

Nice, look is clean. I like the water table indicator. Keeps plants moist. Not good for plants that like a dryer soil.

African Violets Looking Cool

We used these to plant African Violets. These were just the right size for one plant in each pot. The water measurement makes it easy to determine when to water them. Be aware that the water measurement stick can get "stuck"; however, when I lift the plant and give a gentle shake, it reads true. Aksi, the blue and white colors are very "cool" colors.
