ROADIE- The OVERNIGHTER SUV Window Tent with Bug Screen and Retractable Awning – Great for Camping in an SUV. (Patented)

Spent most of June camping our way up the west coast in our 2020 Expedition Max. These worked perfectly on our rear doors, and gave us the perfect amount of airflow at night. Kept all the bugs out, even with our lights on inside. The only downside was the privacy flap being on the outside, but still easy to unzip the screen and zip up the privacy panel when necessary. I need a fan at all times when I sleep, but the airflow with these was perfect. No fan needed. We were camping in a different spot nearly every night, and these were easy to set up and take down. 30 seconds each door, and stuff bag attached. Almost didn’t buy, but so glad I did. Worth every dollar!

This fits over the rear doors of my 2010 Honda Odyssey very well and does not interfere with the electronic operation of the door opening and closing (as long as you pull it relatively tighter on the front side of the door where the sensors and latches are). It fits well and is simple to put on. It doesn't look baggy or saggy and the screen opening lines up nicely with the window in the door. My intended use is for car camping on a cross country roadtrip and afterwards. but I will also use it when I have to run quick errands and have to leave my dog in the car and want him to have nice ventilation without being able to escape. A dog that was determined to escape could easily rip the screen and jump out but my dog is docile and unimaginative and doesn't do things like that, so it will be fine. I would not be comfortable leaving him with wide open windows, but this setup will give him shade and air and deter him from leaving. Now that I have seen it, I've bought a second one so I can have one on each side of the car. I won't be driving with them on because I think they would flap around. But they are so fast to put on that I do think using them when I'm just running errands is a realistic plan. For the overnights whiel we are car camping it will be great to have privacy, bug protection and cross ventilation.

Great investment. It solves the problem of privacy, air flow, and bug protection. It makes sleeping in my mini van less claustrophobic. Easy to install....takes seconds. The pictures shown are on Chrysler Town and Country. They fit perfectly and automatic doors still operate as long as you make sure it doesn't cover the connections..and they stay in place. BIGGEST NEGATIVE: From inside the van you have to unzip the netting to reach the zippers that close or open the rain fly. This let's in bugs while you adjust the fly. The netting should be on the outside of the rain fly, but it is still a great buy.

I bought a pair of these Roadies for my F250 QuadCab pickup. They are super handy to have around, don't leak and allow for great cross breeze. The back door of the quadcab is quite large and probably the max size that these door covers could fit. They are too small for the front door of my F250. Add a platform to the back seat and it makes for a great bed! I've used them probably a dozen times and so far, no leaks or tears. Screens are easy to zip up. Great for tuck camping if you want to sleep in the cab of your truck. They include a pouch that is used for storing (packs into itself) and doubles as a pouch for your stuff at the head or foot of your bed (if you're sleeping in the back seat of your pickup).

I purchased a pair of these for my 2022 Honda Passport Elite. They are fantastic! The fit is perfect, easy to put on/take off and seem to be built very well. One of the units was missing a small piece and after contacting the seller the response was immediate. Because of the tariffs, they ended up sending me a whole other unit which was way beyond what they needed to do. Love this product and would buy again! BE AWARE THOUGH. I purchased this for our Independence day getaway. Upon receiving the product and opening to test it out to ensure it fit prior to our camping trip I immediately noticed the poles were rusted, dirty and covered with some sort of greasy sticky goo making it what I assume to be as used or a returned item. RATING explanation: Installation- It is pretty easy to install for the most part, the longest part of the installation is the pole that is inserted to give the canopy/overhang some shape. Value for money- I believe this is a bit overpriced for what it actually is, while it is probably the only one of its kind I have seen through my research, I would have been more satisfied if it was perhaps 25% cheaper. OR that it comes in pairs and have the price of 2 cheaper than buying 2 singles. I give this a 2 for Value because I essentially paid full price for a used item. Who knows how long this will last now because the pole is used and seems to be on its last leg. Thickness- The material itself is not thick at all. The equivalent thickness would be that of a rain cover for a hiking pack or a lightweight tarp. And when it is packed away and folded into itself, it is the size in which I expected it to be. Other than that, I am not sure why thickness is one of the preset ratings for this product. Overall I am giving this 3 stars because of the poor quality assurance taken by the manufacturer and distributor. As a customer, who is under the impression of buying an item brand new should be given an item that is brand new, and if it was a returned item, it should have been inspected before being re-sold. I also believe that the size for the cover is a bit tight for our 2019 RAV4 which is a compact size SUV, which is interesting because it was advertised for a mid- to full- size SUV. Perhaps it is the shape of the door that makes it fit the way it is.

Bought 2 (large) for my 2018 Honda CRV. They fit very well and good quality even w heavy and rugged use (remote public lands camping for extended periods of time). Purchased in May 2023 and they are still going strong. The company is family owned and stands behind their product. I had some questions and they were immediately responsive and helpful. Car camped for months off and on with these bw contract jobs. I was often moving daily, taking these off and on. They still look brand new and work very well w no weak points showing after much use (a rubber tip came off one pole but I glued it back in and it’s fine). They keep bugs/mosquitoes out, provide cross ventilation when you have one on each side and work well in rain—even w strong winds. The awning like part really does work to keep the rain out. I had to partially zip close the rain cover flap once—and I’ve used these in very windy storms with pouring rain that would go horizontal at times. Highly recommend. *When breaking camp it could be easy to misplace/forget the tenting poles (mostly the short pole that holds the awning out), they’re black and blend into the camping area and the inside of your car. I have a specific routine for that piece that I do before anything else so I don’t lose/forget them. (Some type of reflective painting material on them might help). *A lot of dust and dirt can get on the inside of the Roadie where it lays next to your car door. I’m careful to shake it out and also to try to keep it from rubbing against my car door so it doesn’t scratch the paint.

One of the best purchases I had so far for my vehicle. I like to go camping and sleep in the back of my vehicle, but it gets stuff at night so I like to open the windows but do do not having screens on the windows I would get a lot of mosquitoes or bugs flying around having this over the passenger doors. I started out with one and worked out fabulous but I ended up buying a second one for the other side to let the air flow through both ways worked out fabulous. I have been camping in my vehicle when it has been in severe weather, thunder, and lightning and down pouring. There is a little canopy over the window area and it held up great for blocking the rain from coming in. Definitely is water resistant. I ended up not having a lot of bugs in my vehicle thank goodness. It folds up very nice and small, which is great for packing up the vehicle. It’s very lightweight. The instructions are self-explanatory. I ended up setting up mine the first time by myself in the dark right before bed with no light except for all my phone and it worked out great.

It is easy and quick to set-up. Makes the car camping experience much better. I have always struggled with the rear door shades to create a mosquito net for open windows while camping. Now I have a better solution. Really worthy, really love it!

Bought 2 of these for our old suburban as we are getting ready to go on a X-Country trip and will have our dog with us - who will sleep most nights in the truck. Overnight parking has always been an issue if windows need to stay open as any rain will result in water getting inside the truck, so when I saw these, I thought they were what I had been looking for for years... They are similar in concept, but miles better in practice than the mosquito net contraptions I built several years ago that are no use when it rains and a pain to set up and hold in place. Quality is good. The nylon is ripstop so any minor tears and snags will be easy to repair. Seams are all taped, so leakage shouldn't be a concern. There is a stuff sack that is integral to the unit, so it won't go missing overnight, which is a nice touch. I'm a little unsure of the use of the bar that holds the weather shield open. Unless I'm missing something it may not stay in place in a big wind, even with a tie down strap using the loop provided. Size Wise, this fit our truck with room to spare and mounts in under a minute (when on our trip, I expect we will leave the pole support for the weather shield on, and just fold the units and leave them ready to go). I think they would work on just about any vehicle with an opening door. I even got one on a front door of the truck with the mirror folded in (although it wouldn't fully protect if there was rain, due to the slope of the windshield frame).

Easy to install over my VW Golf doors and my GMC Terrain. The horizontal pole for the rain fly was a pain to get in but it's able to stay in and still be packed away so that's nice. Rain fly works great and the double-sided zippers make it SO easy to adjust the two layers as needed throughout the night. Even the loops to hold the rolled up outer layer are velcro and attach from the top so super easy to "untie" and zip up from inside the vehicle (someone was thinking!) Mesh lets through air but still retains some heat. A PERFECT addition for car camping and keeping comfortable. I bought one for each side and that allows for an excellent cross breeze. The attached storage bag is another great touch (no looking for the bag after) and is big enough so stuffing it all back in is easy. Awesome product
