I’m a women that’s 5’4 145lbs I purchased this suit to do lawn work. The bees have been very aggressive this summer attacking for no reason so I purchased this for some protection. I purchased a size x large it fits slightly big but I prefer it fit that way so i doesn’t rip when bending or something while working. The suit does fall passed my ankles the sleeves past my wrist the gloves fit perfectly and both zippers are secure around the hood and the front of the suit. No bees or any bugs will be able to get in once you put this suit on but as far as bees being able to sting through the suit I haven’t worn it out as of yet. But I can tell you if you 5’4 or shorter you can go with a size large unless you won’t a slight oversized suit then go with an x large. Overall this suit seems to be of good quality and the price was better than I saw on any other website but as far as performance I will have to check back in.

I wore my suit yesterday to move my bees from nucs. It was perfect. I like the fit and the fact that it’s not heavy. I live in Mississippi and it gets hot down south! Totally covered me and the face veil was easy to work with. Very happy. For the value I paid for it I love it!! Did not get stung one time!

I got this to take a beekeeping class. It was good to have full coverage, but still be fairly lightweight. The suit fit pretty close to size, but the gloves were too big, and I swapped them out for smaller ones. The veil part does have a tendency to slide back and be crammed up against your nose. If you wear a baseball cap it will help keep the netting off your face.

Fits well but I wear a hat to keep the front mesh from getting near my face for sting protection. No bees have been able to sting me thru the cloth or get inside the suit.

Been a beekeeper for over 10 years and purchased 3 bee suits for emergency backup. Overall they are decent for the price. As to thickness of the material, I would wear another layer of clothes underneath. I’ve been stung numerous times with suits heavier than these.The medium suit was received with a broken zipper and will be returned.

I purchased this bee suit last summer and never tried it on until today ( a year later). I'm 5 ft 100 lbs and the small was so tight, I could barely get in it, the cuffs of the ankles were literally half way up my leg and it was cutting me in half just here you say these definitely are not true to size.
