This ended up working out well. I just about returned it at first because I thought it wasn’t working, but it turns out the low-voltage cut off had turned off power to the dash cam. After starting the car and charging the battery up to a higher voltage, the unit works fine. It comes with everything needed, and the fuse taps work well. One negative is the fuses that come with it are pretty cheap and one of them had the pins break off while installing.

Worked great for setting up my dashcam. I did need an additional micro2 amp for the always on feature to work, but that's not the fault of the manufacturer

I've bought this kit on November 2024 and I was so happy when I got it, it worked just fine and didn't have a problem but exactly today March 8th I've noticed my VIOFO Dashcam stopped working and I was so worried that my Camera was damaged I tested the camera directly to the car's 12V USB charger and worked perfectly I started investigating the issue and after disassembling my car I was able to find out that this hardwire kit was the culprit. So upset I can't even return it because of course they make it work for just 4 months and then it dies. What angers me the most is that by selling you this disposable hardware I had to take my time and effort disassembling the car then put it back on, ordering another hardware kit from other seller and disassembling my car again. So frustrating. UPDATE: After writing this review I was contacted by Plozoe and they sent me a replacement of this hardware kit. It works just like the one I had and I just hope it doesn't stop working again. It is exhausting having to disassemble the pieces of my car and assemble it again and is frustrating specially thinking that it may be broke again. However, I do appreciate Plozoe worrying about customer's satisfaction and I have to take that into consideration while making this review. Plozoe does worry about the customer and that really makes a good impresion on the company. I will leave my review at 4 stars and will stay like that. In case anything happens I'll update this review.

Everything I needed was included to hard-wire a dash cam to the cars fuse box. The kit comes with several sizes of connectors that will replace a standard fuse in the fuse box with an adapter that will allow the original fuse to protect that circuit and a second fuse to protect the dash cam wiring. The 12v to 5v converter is an integral part of the kit as are the long wires that will likely be suitable for even the biggest car. There is even a plastic tool for easing apart interior trim to run the wire for a practically invisible installation.

Worked on my VIOFO a229 pro dashcam very minimal tools needed to install had to use a different fuse from the one my car takes as the slots were recessed.

The dash cam i bought came with a power cable ending in a cigarette lighter plug. Usually, the cigarette lighter is wired as a remote, meaning it only gets power once the vehicle is in ignition mode or powered on. This is apparently not the case for a 2016 Mazda 3. It was super simple to install, but I will say, the fuse tap does fit a bit too loose for my liking, so that may jiggle loose at some point and require fixing. But otherwise, no complaints from me. The wire is more than long enough to reach either the fuse box under the hood or the one in the interior. and the dash can powers on as expected. Unless this stops working randomly, I will be very satisfied.

No issues using this or installing it. It has been running a dash cam in my van for months now. I had a power connection by the fuse box under the dash, so the (what I assume is) the power converter box is inside my dash ty-wrapped to a dash support frame away from the fuse box (no interference) and away from the dash ducting (away from heat and cold).

The quality seems good, I felt the value for money was pretty good. It was very easy to install. The problem is it is not compatible with my new dash cam I need a 3 lead hardwire kit, this only has 2 leads. There is plenty of wire to be able to hide it under trim so that it is not blocking the driver’s sight at all.

Low battery cut off switch does not work, fuse tap does not fit at all. Terrible

Works in my Mercedes C300, just wish the cord it came with was 5ft longer. Had to add an extension to run it to my trunk fuse box and my car is not that long.
