It performs as expected.
The apple crusher worked well and was easy to assemble and easy to clean after use. Very satisfactory.

Seems flimsy, works well
After my husband got this put together, he had his doubts about how well it would work and hold up. When he used it yesterday, though, he told me to put in a good review. He isn't easily impressed. While this seems rickety, and I have to hold it in place with my foot so it doesn't slide around, it has successfully ground up enough apples to make 10 gallons of cider. I was cutting the apples in quarters to make the grinding easier, but then my husband started throwing them in whole. It still ground up the apples just fine. It is also easy to clean.

Good quality
Despite having plastic teeth, this unit seems very well made. It's heavy and sturdy. When using it, I highly recommend figuring out some way to attach it to floor or to the bucket, as the motion of the rollers causes the unit to shift all over the place - especially when cranking it by hand. I eventually took the handle off and attached a power drill to the stem so I didn't have to hand-crank it. Less movement on the unit as a whole. I had no problem grinding through five bushels of apples in about an hour, and only had to stop to clear the teeth one time. Only time will tell of the plastic teeth hold up - next year we plan to go through the harvest from two full trees... so we will see.
