Why did you pick this product vs others?:These half composition books are excellent for daily journal writing in the classroom. Since the students only have about 10-15 minutes to write, they don't get overwhelmed by the full sheets of paper. The pages have just the right amount of space for my second graders to jot their ideas down for morning writing. We use them for math journals as well. I give the kids a daily math prompt and they do their problem solving in these journals. I love them!

Love these books for my projects. That is inspired by Posh Paper Lady. These also come in college ruled,however, very hard to find. The one gripe is within the last 18 months price increase by 50%. Like everything else. 50% increase is a bit much.I will continue to buy here since these were the cheapest available. Please try to carry the college ruled ones.

I LOVE these composition books, and wish I had discovered them earlier. As a "list maker", I dislike wasting full size composition books by making my daily shorter lists. These are the perfect size, and slip easily into a larger purse or backpack. They're good quality and a decent value for the money. If I were still teaching, I'd use these in a multitude of ways with my students. The colors are fun, too.

Why did you pick this product vs others?:I haven’t seen composition notebooks that are wide ruled in this particular size and orientation. The quality and paper thickness are great. Mine came with two greens and the rest are different colors. I got these for my son to take notes and divide by subject, but I will probably swipe one for myself!

Half notes in music are one thing and hand-written half-notes are another, and these Oxford Jr. Half-Size Notebooks are perfect for jotting down the latter, a half page at a time. Who has time to write a whole page anymore anyhow? Plus, half a note doesn’t look so incomplete, half-thunk, or unfinished on a half page.If you find yourself a writer, poet, physicist, musician, artist, general big thinker of either silicon- or carbon-based intelligence trying to survive in this droning age of frequent to constant, invasive, clattering chattering noise from whatever’s banging on your door, dinging on your phone, barking in your yard, or on the myriad screens & machines in your face holding you up for another mugging moment to sell you or tell you something or shake you down for another password, login, PIN, verification, update alert, security code, or completely needless notification, then these are the perfect journal for jotting down all those half-baked ideas, half-stanzas, false starts, brainfarts, half-writ poems, and half-bunk answers to half-asked questions before you get interrupted again. The pages are lined and ruled just like the full sized composition books but with a 1/2” Top Margin instead of the 1” margin customarily at the top of the full-size pages we used to compose when you could finish an entire thought without… hey, coffee!

I just live the novelty of these. They’re exactly what you’d expect from a composition notebook, just smaller. Great when you don’t want to deal with coils unraveling from a spiral or pages tearing out from a pad.

I am making junk journals or personal journals with these. They are a great size and works great for this project leaving lots of pages for journaling.
