I ordered this to replace the one from my Dynex tripod that has gone missing. This quick release plate was exactly as I expected. High quality, metal components (sturdy) and great price. Best of all, it fits my tripod perfectly! AS LONG AS YOU MEASURE THE SLOT OPENING ON YOUR TRIPOD, you won't go wrong. I'm giving this a five star review largely becuase the seller makes this clear in numerous places in their product description. MEASURE MEASURE MEASURE because different tripods will have different size slot openings. Whenever I lose my next quick release plate, I'll be back! 😁

I needed a spare quick release plate for an old Velbon 5000 tripod I bought many years ago. This fit perfectly seems like good build quality. I mounted a phone mount on this plate for filming with my phone, while the original quick release plate stays on my camcorder. Excellent value.

Works fine if you have a tripod that fits it. The biggest problem with adapters is that various tripods use different sizee adapters and they are not labeled with the size, so I had to get different size adapters to fit different size tripods. This one is fine if you need a 44m adapter. Don't buy an adapter without knowing how to measure your tripod to ensure a proper match.

Let me tell you - I purchased at least three different “universal” pieces that didn’t fit in two of my tripods, but this one was the magical glass slipper I had been looking for. It’s compact, lightweight, trouble-free use, well built, and practical all around. I’m thankful for its versatile compatibility and cost effectiveness! It has a twist knob at the bottom which helped to secure the piece to the camera and gave peace of mind when attached to the tripod. 10/10 will keep close by for sessions!

The Amazon basic tripod I have came without a quick release plate. It was free and thrown in when I recently bough a camera. The Amazon tripod was in a nice bag. It felt tight and light but useless since it lacked the quick release plate. I've had a few other tripods that had similar problems. In those cases I had no luck finding plates and were discarded. In this case I entered the info into Amazon and, "that's a bingo!". DaVoice had one listed. For less than 5 minutes of looking and the same cost as a vente latte at Starbucks, I had a like-new tripod. Delivery was fast and it was packed well. It's plastic but so it the head. If you lose your amazon basic tripod quick release plate, give this one a try. I can't say enough about how attentive DaVoive has been. Thanks for the making the product and making it easy to locate on Amazon.

I bought this as an "extra" so that I did not have to keep moving the release plate from my DSLR body to my telephoto lens and back again. It really speeds and simplifies the process of changing to and from my telephoto lens by having a quick release plate "permanently" attached. When mounted on the tripod my camera and telephoto lens feel as secure and solidly mounted a when using the Targus piece. I have a Targus TGT 58TR tripod. The DaVoice QR Plate is the same quality as the OEM part. Its measurements are the same and has the same solid feel. It fits tightly in the tripod mount and slides in and out of the mount smoothly. The only notable difference between the Targus and the DaVoice is that the Targus is a beige color, the DaVoice is black. If necessary I will update this review later but the only potential issue I can foresee is if the Davoice were to crack/break due to constant use. I have been using the Targus plate with the telephoto lens for three years, I hope for, and expect, this piece to be as durable.

It is exactly what I needed. It works with the Cannon powershot and Nikon cameras and was compatible with my tripod. I'm so glad I could buy this piece separately; it came in handy.
