Leaks without PTFE tape.
The threads seem to be poorly made, as it leaks unless you wrap the threads with Teflon tape. I'f you're trying to remove as much fluoride from the water a possible with an RO system, why would you want to use Teflon PTFE (Polytetrafluoroethylene) to seal it? This is especially disappointing since I paid $16.95 for this (overpriced), and I chose this one specifically because the old Purenex filter did not leak. Apparently they changed the design and the tolerances aren't as tight as the old design.

Fits perfectly and does the job for a reasonable price. What else can you ask for?
