If you own a Jaguar or Land Rover of about 5 years old you will know that the traffic (and other) data of the navigation system is driven from the 3g mobile phone signal. This 3G signal is not only 'patchy' but will be switched off in 2023 (according to O2 and EE). This will make the traffic data unobtainable from the switch off date.We bought this dongle to provide a mobile Wi-FI signal in the car which is driven from the 4G LTE mobile phone signal. We now have, in effect a 4G traffic system which also provides browsing and other data services as found in the infotainment system. So far results have been very good and traffic coverage is faultless using a EE SIM.You should download the software provided to set up the dongle and spend some time configuring the device. You will also need to 'teach' your car the dongle's settings so that he can connect to it.We situate our dongle permanently in the USB port of RRS glove box and use the two little antennae. (I'm not sure if they do much). The dongle switches on when the Infotainment systems activates and after a few minutes everything connects to the mobile internet and the data flows.It is well worth spending on this device rather than a less expensive device (which we have also tried but with disappointing results).

Only when i am well happy with a product do i bother to waste my time these days and leave a review, i try and answer others questions in my review as much as i can, however as the review i did seams to have been thrown out, (I think it might be due to links i supplied but nobody said so which leaves me unsure) i not be doing reviews for anything now for 12 months, if this review is removed i might just never bother wasting my time leaving a good review ever again.Right then i had to do reset as forgot the password, as someone else said they did a reset and was then stuck with everything in German! well at the login screen underneath where you click Login after entering the password (default after a reset is admin) it will say Deutsch well if you click that you have 3 optionsDeutschEnglishSlovenscinajust click English and you back to Normal,

This is actually a ZTE modem. Made by Zyksel, one of the top leading networking brand's. Easy installation. The driver is automatically recognized. To my surprise the web GUI is better than some full featured router's. Four stars only because during the update I it remaind at 2.4ghz. There is no option for dual band. Otherwise, as I mentioned the web GUI offer's many features, firewall, ddns, SSID switch, port forwarding, DMZ, etc. Definitely worth purchasing for a backup internet solution.

Got this to supply wifi in our boat and get rid of a bigger more power hungry 4g router ,hasn't dropped connection all night testing it on Netflix at work in a poor signal area getting 16 mbps and 7 upstream had mid 30's down stream at home ,it's not blistering fast like 5g but it will supply a stable connection in the boat to the camera and navigation equipment ,very impressed functionality for a very small price ,picked up its own apn settings worked out the box on voxi/vodafone ,powerbank hasn't even dropped a bar of power in 9 hours constant streaming

These devices seem to be second hand. There were SMS messages on it from a previous owner. The firmware was not up to date.It was recognised by my Gl inet MT1300 Beryl but could not connect.Returned
