A CISM Study Guide Must Read
After failing my ISACA CISM exam twice, I decided to read this book from start to finish. All 600+ pages and I must say this gave me the clarity that I needed. If you’re struggling like I was please don’t hesitate and just buy the book!!

Good but skip the fluff
Could have been 100 pages less. 4 pages on types of natural disasters? I think the author was working towards a minimum page count. This book is good, but would be better if the fat was trimmed. I had to skim too much to find good data in the middle of fluff. Also the answers should never be on the same page as questions for the sample questions. But I did find the book a solid resource regardless and passed the exam.

Content good, no hardback book?
i am happy to have the new content available the the CISM review. I am not happy there is no hardback book. This paperback book is think and heavy. It's quite difficult to manage it in my hands, as the cover is thin paper and it does not support itself well at all.

Not helpful
Typical dry, poorly written study guide. The testing software is online now, and seems to use the same questions over and over, so not terribly useful either. The book being softback makes it difficult to read, as it has no structure to it at all and wants to close on itself constantly.

Read it from beginning to end, did the practice questions and went on to pass my CISM exam. This book was instrumental in this success. Highly recommend!

This is not based on the content but the final product. Like a previous review, the book is printed one page out of sync, which has the cover pages facing the back and making the section descriptors useless and referencing page numbers irritating. The Only reason this isn't 1 star is because I can still read it.
