I have only had this blocking set for a couple of weeks and am using it now for the first time. I really like the thick blocks. I only needed to use 4 blocks but I did put them all together and they all fit nice and snugly and the grid lines are straight and match up. Although the blocks are numbered 1-9, I found that when putting them in different arrangements the grid lines match up also. I'm so glad it came with the t-pins because I needed a lot more than I thought I would. This is my first time blocking one of my crochet projects and it went perfectly.

I always wanted blocking mats to finish my knitted and crochet projects. It contains plenty of pins and a tape measure to accurately block my items to the correct size. These blocks were a great buy compared to others I checked out. These are the “extra thick” ones, also.A quality product at a good price!

I wish I had purchased these years ago. I "made do" with towels and pads, but these work beautifully and my knitting dries much more quickly. I specifically bought them for a lace sweater I am currently knitting. Because the blocks can be changed for any configuration, I will be able to block the lace quickly and easily. I gave them a four star rather than a five because I am still trying to figure out the best way to store them rather than cramming them back in the box. The good news is that they are incredibly thick. The bad news is that this makes them a bit bulky to store. Still, I am very happy with this purchase.

Well, I finally blocked my first crochet project with these mats. I liked several things about this product. First of all, the pieces are numbered so it is very easy to put it together in order so the grids line up correctly. The grid lines helped me to create a straight edge on a hem that was kind of wonky before blocking. The mats are modular so I was able to rearrange them in a way to fit my project better (a large triangle). The color did not run or affect my project which was wet blocked. I only have two criticisms. One, the pins bent fairly easily - but this might just be me needing to adjust my technique. They did NOT rust or damage my project. Second, the box it came in was so tight I had to tear it to get the blocks out. I had hoped to use it to store the blocks in, but that wasn't going to happen. Overall, I really liked these blocks and will be ordering a second set for larger projects.

This is such a great kit! The box design is cute, which is good because that’s where I keep everything stored. I blocked a white and taupe blanket on it (only needed 4 squares to block) and there was no dye transfer from the blocks at all. And the lines measured up no matter what order I put the blocks together in. Each square is really large, so there’s definitely enough room to block a blanket, sweater, scarf, etc. Really love this set!

Mats were great. Had a long project and lined them right up. The pins, however, were all bent and stuck together. Very frustrating.

The Blocking Mats are perfect. I love that I can use just one, or put them together as I need. The pins and measure tape are a wonderful little bonus. The only problem is that it's called "knitting". I crochet, I don't knit, I was looking for a "crochet" blocking board. I'm just thankful I still found this one.

Choose another option, not this one. The depth and texture of the mats are very nice. However, mine arrived without the 100 T-pins, although there was a space for them in the packaging. Worse, the grid lines are useless. No matter how I turned the blocks they did not align. There may be one 3x3 orientation of the blocks where they align, but that is not what I needed for my shawl.They start sending you emails asking for a review as soon as they ship them. As I was not going to be able to use them until I had a finished project to block I found this very annoying.Now I need to go order some T-pins. Thank goodness my lace wires came with a few, barely enough to get a sloppy blocking job done.
