A must have for decor lighting. It makes it easy to stake RGB flood lights wherever needed. I was making my own, but they weren't as sturdy and cost more to make than these. I've ordered the 8pks twice and liked them so much I went ahead and ordered the 16 pack this time. Perfect for my needs!

I bought some LED's to underlight our trees in the winter. I use floods during Halloween and for those I just ripped some 1/4" stock and made 18" strips, with a beveled end, and mount them up just fine but for these permanent installs I wanted something a bit more substantial and ... I don't know ... nice looking ? These are well made, appear to be cast, although they use a hex socket nut instead of a more traditional hex nut (which saves space). Problem is they are just abysmally short. By the time you stake them in the ground even semi-securely, even in the dead of winter, they are flush to the ground and aren't lifting your lights up above the ground, leaves, dirt, water, bugs, etc one bit. The net effect is exactly the same as laying the lights on the ground, just they will hold position. Unfortunately this doesn't do it for me, I want the lights held up above the topical environment, so I will have to search for 12-18" long ones or just rip some ply again.

This review is for a threaded spike flood light metal ground stake. They are about 8 inches long and use an Allen wrench to screw them onto the lights. Really great quality and really add better positioning options for the lights. If your looking to add spikes to your existing yard lights do not hesitate to order.
