Excellent wired intervalometer but has room for improvement
Excellent product for the price (4.5 stars, rounded up to 5 stars). The device can be used as a simple (but bulky and battery powered) remote shutter release (in this case you need to set all exposure parameters on the camera and just use the big round button on the device as the "remote shutter button" for taking photos). But the main use of the device is as a programmable intervalometer where you use the small buttons below the big one to enter/set all exposure parameters on the device itself (in this case, the camera must be set to manual exposure, BULB shutter speed, and Single Shooting drive). All functions in my unit work fine! I can think of four (minor) issues with this wired JJC intervalometer:(1) The INTVL value is the time from the *start* of one exposure to the start of the next one. This means that INTVL := Exposure_Length + Gap, that is, you will need to enter the Interval value as the sum of the exposure time length and the pause/gap time between successive exposures. Thus INTVL must always be greater than the exposure length (which they call BULB). For example, if you want 15 second exposures and 3 second gap between successive exposure, enter BULB = 15 and INTVL = 18 (since 18 = 15 + 3). In some of my other intervalometers, the Interval is simply the time gap between successive exposures, which I find more convenient.(2) The camera shutter cable is hardwired into the device and is not removable. It would have been better if the device had a jack and provided a removable shutter cable for connecting to the camera. Some manufacturers do make such models, where if you are using different camera vendors/models, you can carry just one intervalometer and multiple camera specific shutter cables.(3) The printed instruction manual that came with the device is excellent (despite the small print), but the manufacturer/seller does not seem to provide an online copy of it (there are some third party online sources which provide a poorer and shorter version of the manual). So if you buy this product, it might be a good idea to scan/save the printed manual.(4) It would be really nice if the unit came with a small holding pouch with straps/velcro for attaching to a tripod leg.

great addition to the camera unit
works great and very easy to setup and use (did not read instructions, just went through menu on unit). This is a wired unit not wireless, but i felt that i would not use enough to spend the extra money (approximately 10 dollars) for wireless, but we will see.......continued to another day! (I will probably order the wireless another day)

Good remote.
The media could not be loaded. Works how it should, read the instructions btw. The only reason it’s 4 and not 5 is the box it came in was messed up but the remote wasn’t damaged.

A Simple Solution for Capturing Family Memories After Loss
As someone who recently became widowed, taking family photoshoots became a challenge. It was hard to be in the photos or avoid looking silly while trying to hide the shutter release fob. So, I decided to try the JJC Intervalometer for my Canon EOS Rebel T6. It was quick to learn and set up, and it allowed me to capture moments with my family that I wouldn’t have been able to otherwise. I could set it to take photos every few seconds, which gave us the freedom to enjoy the moment without worrying about pushing buttons or hiding a fob.I even used it for Christmas morning. I set it up in the corner of the room and was able to get photos of the holiday with myself in them—something I hadn’t been able to do before. While I’m not a professional photographer, I can definitely say that this device did exactly what I needed: it continuously took images at set intervals, giving us natural, candid photos without any extra hassle. It’s a perfect tool for anyone who needs a reliable way to capture memories with ease.

Great Value
I already own a Neewar shutter release / timer that I purchased 5 years ago, but it was 1,200 miles away when I needed it, so I ordered this JJC TM. It has 3 advantages that I appreciate: 1) I is a bit smaller, 2) it has an On/Off switch that should save battery, although I never noticed a problem with the Neewer that is always on, 3) it has a backlight which is very nice for night use.I am very pleased with this purchase, This JJC unit will likely become my go-to device for intervalometer or just shutter release. Many reviews commented about the small print in the user manual. A much more readable, English only, version can be downloaded from the manufacturer's web site. Go to jcc.cc and click on Service&Support on the top line. In the field for "Type your model number" type TM-C and then "Go". You will only be offered one choice, the English Instruction Manual. Click on the icon and you will have the PDF file of a much better manual than the one that came in the box. (Part of one page of this manual is attached to this review.)

Works with my Canon T3i
Understanding the timing did take a lurks getting used too. After that I found this device to be very useful.

Exactly as expected
Used with a Canon EOS-R: It's easy to use and reliable. I shot the entire 2024 solar eclipse at 15s intervals from first to last contact. I regularly use it for astrophotography and for shooting lightning storms. It's very simplistic and it's kind of like typing in your password with a TV remote, but that's what $20 gets you. My biggest problem is the cord. The remote dangles from my telescope or tripod and I don't have a good place to secure it, but again: you get what you pay for.

Decent, but Not Great
It works fairly well as a basic intervalometer once you figure out how to use it. Wish it remembered your settings from one session to the next, but it's not a huge deal.On the other hand it absolutely would not work as a simple remote shutter without batteries on a T7, despite what the FAQ says. Not sure if something has changed with the product or I got a defective model, but it wouldn't work.
