Worked well out of the box - Easy to use, a good value
Added November 2022: Compressor is still working fine. It doesn't get a lot of use (a few times a year), but it works each time I need it. I got tired of the screw-on fittings so I've ordered a clip-on chuck (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07MX882J8?psc=1&smid=A1ZZK63NUU4DVM&ref_=chk_typ_imgToDp) to add to the kit.[Original Review] My old tire inflator gave up the ghost and I needed a new one quickly. The reviews on the Tirewell were favorable so I gave it a chance. Amazon delivered it the next day and I put it to work airing up the tires on my girlfriend's minivan. I plugged into the 12vdc power port rather than use the supplied aligator clips on the battery. When I screwed the air line into the valve stem on the tire the pressure gauge read the current tire pressure. It's not a high precision gauge, but it's sufficient for the job at hand. I prefer the screw-on connection to the clip-on style of my old inflator. The screw-on connection is easier for me to put on and take off without swearing at the mechanism. Yes, a little air is lost in the process, but I always overfill and check/adjust (bleed off) pressure with a hand held tire gauge.I was pleased to hear it was not especially loud. My old unit was never this quiet. You could carry on a conversation while it's running if you had to.I had to air up all four tires. The total run time was less than 10 minutes so I didn't have to worry about the 10 minutes on, 10 minutes off duty cycle. The power cord was long enough to put the inflator next to two of the tires, for the other two I had to use the coiled extension air hose. It felt a little flimsy, but it got the job done. It's probably the right quality level for a lightly used consumer product. I liked that the carrying bag has a dedicated pouch for the air hose.I'm happy with the purchase having used it one time. I'll come back to update the review after I've used it a few more times and put a few miles on it.

A money-saver!
This air pump is great! It's very easy to use and will air up a low tire pretty quickly-faster than the little $20.00 pumps, for sure. I carry it around in my car because (and this is just me) it literally kills my soul to have to first wait in a line, then have to spend $1.00-$1.25 at a gas station to air up a low tire. Again, that's just me. The air gauge is easy to read, and the pump is lightweight, but sturdy. It comes with an extension hose and a sturdy canvas storage bag. One thing: The first time I used the pump, I plugged it into the cigarette lighter socket and it did fine. Next time, though, the fuse blew. Found out that I should have been plugging it into the accessory socket in the console between the seats. Been doing that and no more blown fuses.

Decent pump, but bring your own tire gauge just in case
The product arrived quickly and as described. Upon first opening the box, it was easy to identify all the parts, and put together the parts I needed to fill up the tire on my truck. It's a 265/75R18 which I fill up to 44psi. I hooked it directly into the 12v accessory socket, and used the coil hose extension. It was easy to screw together, and screwed the other end onto the valve of the tire. I then turned the unit on, and it immediately jumped to 30psi. I had read the instruction booklet and troubleshooting guide prior to turning on the unit, to see if it needed a burn in period. I had read a previous user review that they had done that, so I was seeing if it was a requirement, as I know you usually want to give any new machine with pistons a break in period to seat the rings and what not. I didn't do that in this case, but I was concerned about the high pressure reading right off the bat (the tire was completely flat), so I checked hoses, fittings and connections to ensure there was no kinks, and that the valve stem was fully pushed in with the screwed on fitting. Everything was working correctly except for the gauge reading. The pump ran fairly quiet compared to most other pumps I've used in the past but it's not whisper quiet as I've read in other reviews. I loved the stability to it. It did not bounce our vibrate all over the place like typical pumps do, and the needle on the gauge was steady. It wasn't super fast at pumping up the tire, but definitely much quicker than a single piston pump. It took about 7 or 8 minutes to get it to about 34psi, before I turned it off because the hose coming off the pump was getting extremely hot. The pump however remained cool. I love the bag it came with. It made it easy to get everything put away quickly, organized, and easy to carry. I was in a hurry so I didn't finish pumping up the tire to 44psi, as I normally would have after it cooled off. I did however use the pump again the next day on my car tires. The 2 rear tired were about 5 pounds and 8 pounds short (34psi was the target). This time I used the hose directly off of the pump, and I was once again greated by the 30psi on the guage, once I turned it on. The tires pumped up in about 2 minutes or so each, and I double verified this with my own tire guage. So I can say at least that part of the guage is accurate once it gets past 30psi. If it was below 30psi that I needed however, I would have to turn off the unit, and check it with an external guage. So it appears the check valve is faulty on the guage, because it's measuring the output of the pump itself until that pressure is exceeded by the total volume of pressure past 30psi in the tire itself. Other than that, it's a seemingly good quality pump, and it'll get the job done. I haven't tried to fill a 100psi tire yet, or one larger the the one I have which is larger than the current industry standard for most truck tires, particularly those for this vehicle, which normally use between 185/60R15 & 215/75R15 compared to my 265/75R18. Another way to compare is the 185/60R15 has a diameter of 23.74in tall and is 7.28in wide VS my tire is 33.65in tall and 10.43in wide. So I have a lot more air to push into these tires, which is why I chose a dual pump air compressor over a single pump. I would probably recommend this pump to friends because overall, it is a decent/good pump, and versatile for many applications. They just need to use a better valve check on the guage. The only con is that once it gets to 30psi it struggles to pump the air at a steady rate. It slows way down, and the hose attached to the pump gets extremely hot. Ten minutes on, ten to fifteen minutes off, takes a long time to pump up a tire with high psi or large volume tires.

Super easy to use!!
I love this tire inflator!! I don’t need to drive much, so my truck sits in the driveway a lot, but, the tires do eventually do need air. This unit is the perfect solution for me. I also bought the convertor, so that I can plug it in to the wall outlet, but the supplied cords are plenty long enough to reach from either the battery or the outlet inside the cab. One thing to know, you really do need to use a seperate tire guage for accuracy & need to shut-off the unit manually, but other than that, filling my tires, was as simple as could be!If you choose to keep this in your vehicle for emergency use, pack a flashlight, because the air pressure guage is not lighted, but it will fit in the included roomy, travel bag. I even keep my convertor in the bag too. This unit is powerful & fast, for what I needed. Which was just adding about 4lbs. to each of the 4 tires. Start to finish, was about 90 seconds per tire. I really like the stability of the unit & the regular hose was quite long enough for my needs, but it is nice to have the yellow coiled hose, for those just in case moments. Overall, I am very pleased & would reccommend this unit to anyone.
