HQRPBattery Compatible with Jawbone Big JAMBOX Wireless Bluetooth Speaker J2011-03-US J2011-02-US Screwdriver

The battery works fine once installed in the Big Jambox and would have received 5 stars. However it is not an exact fit replacement for the existing battery.The problem is the circuit board under the shrink wrap. The old battery circuit board is long and thin. The HQRP replacement battery circuit board creates a large bump that prevents closing the bottom cover. I had to remove several plastic struts and ribs from the bottom panel. Even then, it was a tight fit.The torx screw driver is not as pictured. My Big Jambox used T6 screws. The torx driver included was too small for the torx screws. You'll need to get a quality T6 driver to remove and reinstall the numerous screws. Some are tough. Don't skimp or you'll start hollowing out the screw heads.I don't have a battery life estimate yet.

Battery fit the Big Jambox just fine. NOTE!! They include a torx style screwdriver to help undo the housing to get to the battery. However, they sent a T-5 size screwdriver, and you need a T-6 to undo all the screws. Using the T-5 might strip the head of the screw...so get a T-6 before you start. It was a great thought, just poorly executed.

The install is tricky, but I figured it would be worthwhile. The battery worked great for about 6 months, then began to die on me quicker and quicker--even after a full charge. It's a very odd behavior for a new battery, and I believe the cheap cells have already stopped working properly. I wish Jawbone would offer an OEM replacement battery themselves, this was not a cheap speaker!

The battery easily fit and works perfectly. Several people expressed problems with the screwdriver. It does not fit the screws perfectly although it did break a few loose. Fortunately I had one that fit better. Even then a few of the screws were a problem. They are simply cheap soft-metal screws. When this battery goes I will replace it again through HQRP if I can.

What you should know before ordering this: it is NOT easy to change this battery. They supply a small tool, but there are SO many screws in this speaker. That aside, even after allowing the battery to fully charge my speaker would not work unless plugged into a power source.I do believe that I just got a faulty battery, and I understand that happens. I'm not criticizing the seller, they were actually great. I would suggest that they provide instructions for how to dismantle and replace the battery, because there were none and it is NOT easy. I was able to find a YouTube video to assist.

So far so good. Its a project to install but seems to work well.

The battery was fairly difficult and time consuming to replace. The battery I purchased on Amazon lasted less than 6 months! Total and utter waste of time, money and resources.

Following a utube video on installing the battery made it easy work replacing the battery. The battery have performed as stated from the manufacture.
