More of a very dark blackish gray but mostly black
I like these. They go with my Ancor dishes / I ordered these because Ancor doesn't have a 7" and I needed that size. VERY heavy and sturdy --- they'll last a long time. Wish I could just buy the 7"ers by themselves/without the others, but I'll hide the rest of them away for days of breaking / which will surly come / they always do.

Sleek, Stylish and Heavy – Great “Bowls” for Many Purposes
Foremost, calling these “bowls” is probably a misnomer. I don’t think anyone would serve soup in these – the largest one is only 1-3/8 inches deep. They’re more like deep plates or platters, and they can be used for countless serving purposes – and beyond. In fact, I specifically wanted this set to use one of them (I chose the medium-sized one) to forever live on my stovetop as a spoon/utensil rest. The popular individual spoon rests never really made sense to me. I’m never using just one spoon or utensil during the preparation of any meal, so I wanted something that looked nice to leave out all the time but that could also accommodate multiple utensils (and be easily cleaned). The medium “bowl” is prefect for this purpose (see photo). But beyond my particular need, these really are nice, high-quality serving pieces. The set of three weighs 5.4 pounds. The largest one is 2.3 pounds alone. They’re hefty pieces of stoneware. They have a very nice matte to semi-gloss finish. And, while the Amazon product page says the color is black, they’re really more like espresso in color. Their design is simple and timeless with clean lines. Between the neutral color and classic design, they can be coordinated with any other serving set – of any color or design. And I think the price point is excellent – these are quality pieces. They also come amazingly packaged: the set (separated by foam sheets) is surrounded by cardboard, placed in a cardboard box, surrounded by more cardboard, and finally placed in yet another cardboard box. Essentially, they’re shipped in 4 layers of cardboard boxes! These are great serving pieces for which care was taken to assure they’d arrive safely to your home.

Beautifully Crafted!
I’m in love with my new Stone + Lain Dinnerware!!I ordered the 3 piece stoneware set and they definitely did not disappoint!Beautifully crafted, Stone Lain’s plates and bowls come in a variety of colors, designs, and sizes, allowing you to mix and match youre stoneware to your preference, which I absolutely love! Each bowl was carefully packed and wrapped to ensure safe arrival and even included a ‘thank you’ card from the company that i thought was a very nice touch!Care instructions state to clean gently with a sponge to preserve the quality and beauty of each piece. They are also dishwasher/microwave safeTip: If you find scuffs or scratches on any of the Stonewear you can use a sponge with some bar keepers friend cleanser to easily buff it out!Easy 5 star rating!! Would absolutely highly recommend ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

The largest arrived with a crack:(
I love these bowls, but the largest and the one we would use the most is cracked all along part of the bottom through the edge, any slight movement I feel it would snap off a large piece.. I noticed it as soon as I gently removed it from its box. The color and weight is perfect
