Great very accurate Tool for Tire check
I bought this digital tire tread depth gauge and I’m really happy with it. It’s super easy to use, and the digital readout is clear and accurate. I love how quickly it gives me the exact measurement, helping me keep track of my tire wear. It’s compact, durable, and feels high-quality for the price. I use it regularly to ensure my tires are safe, and it’s been a real game-changer. If you’re looking for a reliable and simple tool to check tire tread, I’d definitely recommend this!

Super cheap and makes checking tyres so easy.
The Mrs was worried her tyres were getting too worn and asked me to check. Sure there are other ways to check but I like accurate. Went on Amazon and found this. For about £5 delivered next day I can’t believe what good value it is. As soon as it arrived I used it on my van and her car. The instructions were clear, it came with the required battery as well. As standard there is a 1 year warranty but you can extend to 3 years by registering. In terms of using it, it is simple and accurate. I haven’t checked it for accuracy to 0.01mm or anything but the digital measurement matches the ruler measurements and seems plausible.I know feel confident that both our vehicles are legal and safe. The tyres look quite worn but are at least twice the legal limit. Saved myself some money there as with this I can keep an eye on them and only replace when appropriate.I also was able to confirm I have uneven tyre wear. I’ll get it into a garage to sort the tracking out now and probably save even more money.Overall highly recommend

Easy to read
Does the job, easy to read, only downside is, it has to be recalibrated each time you take a reading

Very useful tool for MOT and long journeys
Positives:Excellent digital tyre tread depth monitorItem is well madeIdeal, if planning a long journey to check potential blow out risk or if your MOT is due soon. Also, If your tyres are expensive to replace then highly recommend purchasing this item to effectively plan new replacementGives an accurate readingNegativesBecause of the length of tool you can't measure under the wheel arch (depending on size of wheels), so you'll need to read it near the groundTip:Make sure you remove the plastic tab covering the battery terminals as device wont switch on otherwiseWell worth the investment, no brainer

Great value – easy to use and measures accurately
I bought this tyre depth gauge as I had read that electric cars had excessive tyre wear. I wanted to check the status of my car’s tyres as the car is not due a service for many months and we have driven 13,000 miles in our BMW i4.The challenging part of measuring tyre tread depth is accessing the tread when the car is not on a ramp. I found that if I inserted the depth gauge at the portion of the tyre nearest to the road surface, I was able to ensure that the gauge was perpendicular and obtain accurate readings. It was easy to zero the gauge and take readings for each of the four tyres. The display is easy to read and the numbers stay visible for many minutes before it automatically switches off.I was very pleased to see that the tyre tread on all 4 tyres had a minimum depth of 3.5 mm so all are well above the legal limit. It was well worth buying this device for reassurance that our driving style is not causing excessive tyre wear on the i4.If this was a commercial device, I would have preferred that it came in a protective case to protect it between used. However, as it is only used to measure our tyre depths on an infrequent basis, it is fine keeping it in its original cardboard box, together with the nicely illustrated instruction leaflet.

Too long to fit under a wheel arch
Never thought about how much room there was under a cars wheel arch. This is too long to go under there, you need to take the measurements where the tire almost touches the ground. It comes in a cardboard box, no case no box, cardboard won't last very long. Now the cost will be higher if i need to buy a storage box.The reading is a bit confusing, you need to bring the inner strip all the way out before you press zero.Once you pressed zero, you can move the pin out a little bit push it into the tire tread , then push the inner strip slowly , keeping the guage flat against the tite, intil you feel it stop, now you can look at the reading..There is no lock or hold, or memory save for the reading, so be careful you dont accidentally move the inner strip. The analogue reading on the inner strip is not very clear, cant take a reading from that. You can switch between millimetres and inches by pressing the blue button on its own.The red button switches the unit on and off, finally the white button resets it to zero. You get what you pay for, its ok, i need to compair with an expensive Vernier to see if the readings are acorate.Looks good, shame theres no storage box, even a plastic one would have been ok.Perhaps i can print one 👍🏻So its ok, it works, and for the price you cant go wrong, not sure if this would be anygood for a professional, testing tires every day.See how it goes, watch this space, as the rac is coming out soon, as my tires are 2.8mm tread need to be a minimum 3mm, so value for money, no ' Performance is low.
