I give this five starts because they work as advertised, and work well. I used these a lot many years ago when Radio Shack sold them. You have to clean the copper before using - this applies to any circuit board - take a bit of steel wool and gently clean it. Do that and you can solder to it with ease. The copper is fairly resilient to overheating but you can get it to peel if you get it too hot. I have several projects that use this board, and they work well. Five stars!

Well designed pc breadboard makes it easy to build small circuits and prototypes. The copper pads are very clean and solder readily without any precleaning.

Took the board our of the bag and started soldering right away, thinking it was new and clean, like all other board I have used. Big mistake. Spend a good part of a day debugging, thought there was something wrong with my design until it dawned on me that it could be dry joints. Dry joints, which I get more than my fair share of on this board (solder just won't stick to the copper trace when seen under magnifying glass), was hard to hunt. These are dirty boards (the ones I received are), just need to watch out.On the positive side of things, great layout with six rails, that was the reason I bought these boards. Just wish they came cleaned.
