A Touch of Glam!
This is a beautiful paint that goes on smoothly and looks great! It does take several coats to get the depth desired, but the result is worth the time and effort! Also, when applying it is helpful to keep the brushstrokes in the same direction. This is the second color I have bought in this paint because I loved it so much.

Beautiful shine , for old wood.
This is a beautiful paint with a semi gloss shine. The color is true to the picture. If you are painting over a dark wood, you will need to prime the wood or add several layers of white paint to achieve the perfect finish. Use a roller brush for a smooth finish. It takes a little time, but it is well worth the finished product. I have not completed the project, but I am happy in the interim.

Soft Gold is a Brassy gold color
After reading reviews and pictures, I thought the soft gold was going to be much lighterb than it is. Depending on light and the direction of light, it has a very brass tone to it. It's pretty but a bolder color than I anticipated. My doors are metal and I primed them first. I tried various rollers and brushes. Rollers did not work at all so stuck with a 3" synthetic brush. It took many coats and in some areas it just seemed to not want to coat well. The final product you can see a lot of brush strokes. It doesn't look bad but it's not smooth. I bought a 32oz jar and used about 1/3 of it for these 2 doors. The first shipment must have exploded because UPS sent it back as product damaged. Check your package right away.

Awesome color and durability
Awesome product. Painted a drain color that my builder accidentally installed with a black drain. I painted 2-3 coats and sealed with modge podge. It is working great?

Perfect Pewter
I bought some moulding for a frame around a fossil tiled backsplash for a dry bar, which's has nickel hardware. I bring that up because a wood frame would have been too dark and silver would have been too polished a look.I searched for iron metallic, but it came up too industrial, modern, and dark. I was shooting for an aged-looking frame, sans caulking, kind of a steam punk, old looking frame. So, I painted two coats of Jolie chalk paint in graphite on the frame. I looked for Jolie metallics but they were too bright. The pewter gave a nice depth without going black and heavy. I used a chalk paint brush to spread the pewter, but tamped the brush of excess to get a nice coverage without heavy brush marks, but still getting consistent coverage. It’s Beautiful and I haven’t added the clear wax yet, but will. I’ve used the wax on other projects and it’s so much better than clear coat. The small pot covered about 18’ of 2” wide moulding and there’s enough for a second coat, but I’m thinking the one coat is enough. I tried using the pewter without the base coat and straight onto wood but it didn’t have the depth and beautiful finish, so a proper base coat is needed.

Sub par finish
Spun par finish even after 3 coats. Tried brush, sponge roller, traditional small roller and microfiber roller. It ruined the finish and had to start all over, waste of time effort and money. Frustrating.Spend the money, get the Modern Masters, have used it for so many projects and always looks great, worth the extra money.Exception: I purchased the dark bronze for the countertop and it looked great, it was full of tiny bubbles at first but were gone by the time it dried.
