I think I have a new favorite pen!
FYI, this is my first ever fountain pen, so I have zero experience with fountain pens. But I have always been a pen enthusiast and have tried many different kinds.I like to save money on nice pens, and this seems like the perfect way. Personally, on this one I love the metal feel, weight (it’s heavier in my hand than most pens), and the matte finish (I chose the matte black pen with the finest tip). It’s perfectly well constructed for my tastes (I don’t notice any issues whatsoever), seems sturdy, and it’s fairly intuitive when you take it apart. Still, having instructions is helpful. It’s possible I missed it, but there were no instructions enclosed, so I had to go back to the Amazon page for a bit of help putting the first cartridge in. But it was very easy, and now I won’t have any trouble going forward. After inserting the first ink cartridge (bought separately from the same brand), I swung the pen around a bit to see if any ink would fly out, and none did. I use everything pretty gently, so maybe some users would have to be careful; I’m not sure. The ink flow is smooth and gorgeous. It doesn’t bleed even on cheap paper yet it flows perfectly. I’m a big fan and will probably use this pen all the time. The ink refills are even super affordable. I can’t wait!I’m considering if I’ll like to buy a few more of these pens plus ink in different colors for variety. I wouldn’t have to deal with my disposable pens anymore. It always bothers me to collect so many plastic throwaways, but I love pens, both for art and for writing. These are also much more convenient than my dip pens.

Sleek, Good Looking, Good Writer for a Reasonable Price
I have been using and collecting fountain pens for about a year now. My husband became intrigued and wanted one of his own to try. Having several Asvine fountain pens in my personal collection and being very pleased with their quality and writing style, I decided to gift him with this Asvine Black Forest <F> nib with cartridge. You can use a converter instead of a cartridge if you want to use bottled ink, but he was interested in simplicity and ease of use, so he uses cartridges. This pen is a lovely matte black that writes a fine line - which is perfect for him. It is comfortable to use, reliable, well made, reasonably priced and a good writer. We both recommend this pen.

A good pen for left handers
I am so happy I purchased this pen. For many years I have had a love-hate relationship with fountain pens, I have always wanted to use one and have always had problems doing so, being left-handed the ink would always smear. I think the difference with this fountain pen is the nib, for some reason it just makes it easier for me to see what I’m doing without smearing everything, I purchased the brushed Black Forest pen with the fude nib. The weight of the pen is great, it has a little bit of weight to it, but not enough to get uncomfortable when writing. The one I purchased has slight texture around the barrel which makes it easier to hold. It’s just an all-around great pen. I use it for writing letters, writing in my journal, and even for sketching. I have been using Platinum black fountain pen ink with it.

Good starter. Remember to research care on fountain pens!
This will give you all the information you should need before getting a fountain pen. This pen is mostly seen by beginners, so I will offer more information than necessary, haha. For its price: it offers the same as literally any other fountain pen, besides the ability to use any cartridge (most pens recommend using a jar, anyways). It is my first and currently only pen, and has been for about half a year. It's had consistent performance with proper care. Note: proper care. Pens need love too.About a fountain pen: It writes like a normal pen. Better than ball point, though, if you have trouble with those. You will need to care for it, as it's not a disposable pen-- research how to properly clean and swap out ink colors. (It's actually pretty simple, don't worry!) Also store them with their tip facing up, so they don't accidentally leak if yours is faulty or from user error. Importantly: it fixes having pens run out of ink. Just pop in another cartridge- its not messy! Also, due to how it works, you can only use it when the tip is flat -- there is a little line dividing the tip, and both sides have to touch the paper to pass ink. It's easiest to see when you don't have ink in the pen. (Also, pro tip- if you flip the pen upside down so the engraving is on the bottom, when you write it will be thinner! It may feel a little more raggedy on the paper, though.)The pen itself: The paint may run off if you use it aggressively, most notably on the grip. (Not the smoother part next to the tip, though.) Underneath is just a regular grey pen, and it will turn pink when it touches your skin, like a ring. For now it's not very noticeable. Holding it, you have to get used to it's weight- its more heavy than your average pencil (I mean, it's made of literal steel, I would expect this). The size is comfortable for all hand sizes, and gripping it isn't slippery or forcing an uncomfortable angle. (Remember, you can only hold it when its flat!) The ink of all pens, do note, will not dry immediately and soak better or worse on different papers. It may bleed if you leave it on your paper for too long, because of how the pen dispenses ink. Please do not insult the pen if this happens :(All in all? It's awesome for me. I actually haven't used a pencil in ages...And if you think you won't use it often, then don't get it - just buy a regular pen! It is for long term keeping, not just for a two-day hobby. **Without proper care, any fountain pen can explode with ink.** Thats not fun.

More quality for the price
So smooth, glides like silk, just a slight thickening on hard strokes, gives a elegant subtle tone. Heft is light, length allows control, surprising for the low cost
