The Marine Biology Coloring Book, Second Edition

Needed this for a class. Combines the fun of coloring with marine biology lessons! Great for adults or teens with an interest in marine biology. Use colored pencils to prevent bleeding through.

Beautiful book, wonderful illustrations. However you will want to get a 24 pack of colored pencils and not 12 as the images are detailed. It was a little advanced for my 4th grader and myself, and some of the coloring instructions were confusing for us, however I'm not giving less stars as reading comprehension is not my strong suit. I would definitely purchase this book again for my next child when he is of age.

My granddaughter chose this book for her birthday and she was very pleased with it!

Good coloring book for kids

I am a Marine Bio major and have been searching for this coloring book for a little while now. You don't understand how happy I am that I have it. My highschool marine bio teacher/mentor used to use a few of these pages in her lessons. I learned so much from reading and coloring. I have wanted it ever since. My best friend is now going to buy one so we can color the whole book together. Highly recommended for anyone who loves the ocean. It has things on oceanography, different species, tidal zones, all sorts of fun stuff. I am thinking about bringing it out whenever company comes over. It will make an awesome conversation starter.

Less color-intensive, and comes with very specific rules for coloring that match the reading. More importantly, the pages are SUPER thin, so color pencils are the only option. This is something I wish I had known before buying, but upon testing with different types of markers, I found it bleeds through super easily. Besides that, it seems like a textbook with its material- just know its more education that it is ~fun~.

The Marine Biology Coloring Book is more than a coloring book. It has a ton of information in the coloring book with coloring. I purchased this for my daughter for when she does Oceanography.

I have used the Human Anatomy book in this series myself and decided to try the Marine Biology with my 7yo son for his homeschool science. He loves anything to do with the ocean. I love that there is a short one page reading to accompany each drawing. Not too much information, but enough to keep that spark of excitment alive. Then he can color a picture to reinforce what he learned. My only regret is that some of the drawings require more effort to do justice to the details than he is willing to put forth. This would not be a problem with an older child or adult. Great Book!

Really impressed with this book - if you are interested in Marine Biology this is ideal. It is not a colouring book in the traditional sense of the word - it is a book to teach you about the Marine world first and foremost.

Fantastic and very educational for anyone with a love of marine biology or wanting to encourage anyone to learn more.

I brought this for my 11 year old daughter who is keen on this kind of thing. She loves it. It is very detailed, lots of marine information. Suitable for adults as well.
