Get Back to Greatness!
This is a beautifully edited look into music history. If you’re a Beatles fan, it’s absolutely fascinating...raw, real, and emotional. It really makes it feel like I'm a fly on the wall while The Beatles work, play, fight, get along, and have fun.

Tremendous Beatles Documentary Worth Owning and Watching!
If you're a longtime Beatles' fan like myself, you will find many reasons for loving this 3-disc documentary directed by Peter Jackson of Lord of the Rings fame. Peter Jackson was able to gain access to hundreds of hours of videotape from the recording sessions of the Let It Be album. What it shows is the final year of this great band putting together the songs that would go on that album, finally culminating in their last public performance on the rooftop of the Apple building in London. While it becomes painfully apparent that there were deep divisions and troubles afflicting the Beatles during this time, there were also countless moments of joy and happiness while making this iconic album. If you're not a Beatles fan or new to this group, you will also find many reasons to discover the creativity and brilliance that John, Paul, George and Ringo displayed during their final year as a band. While it's unfortunate that the Beatles were not able to stay together for too much longer, these films highlight the process that they went through in the making of these iconic songs. No other musical group of the 20th Century had the same impact on popular culture and the world than the Beatles and these films demonstrate this. If you purchase this 3-disc set on Blu-ray, you will not be disappointed!

Great to see
Watching the Beatles play around and have a little fun with the occasional drama was a blast to see. I especially liked John and Paul being pretty goofy at times. If you're a Beatles fan and want a little glimpse behind the curtain this is your chance. Thank you Peter J. for taking the time to wade through it all and put this together.

It's Sad, But You Can See The End From Here
What an amazing contribution to the Beatles legacy Peter Jackson created. Watching them in the studio(s) where they created the bulk of what eventually became the "Get Back" sessions, leading to the release of the "Let It Be" album was fun, but even then you could see cracks starting to form. It was strange knowing that when I watched the rooftop performances, even with the smiles and knowing glances, that the end was in sight. This was also a great "you're in the studio" look at how they wrote and how they figured out songs that are still mainstays on music services around the world to this day. And having the 'complete' rooftop concert is something I have sought for years and years and to finally have it in hand is a blessing to any Beatles fan.I can't imagine any fan of the Beatles being disappointed with this purchase. It's a five star purchase all the way.

No doubt about it, Peter Jackson is the Fifth Beatle!
What’s not to like, aside from the brief attempts by Yoko to entertain. Even that was interesting as it showed Paul not walking out of the studio but putting his guitar up to the amp for distortion in an attempt to add to the cacophony. Best segment was his giving birth to Get Back, composing it on his bass as George and Ringo watch and start picking up on it. Two of Us evolves from fast rock to the final acoustic guitar version. One regret-the full final performance of this, Let It Be, Long and Winding Road were truncated with credits, reduced screen. The inclusion of countless non-Beatle songs, conversations, discussions coupled with a calendar as needed provides a timeline as the project moves from the film studio to the far more agreeable basement studio of Apple. Having seen Paul McCartney in concert just over two weeks ago, it was great to see his inclusion of Lennon’s vocal and video extracted from I’ve Got a Feeling courtesy of Peter Jackson in which Paul sang along here in 2022. Jackson is a tireless genius with incredible focus of the sort I have witnessed in fellow historians. Two good things from the horribly wretched pandemic—-Get Back evolving from a two hour cinema presentation to nearly eight hours streaming and DVD as well as McCartney III. Get them both!

A piece of history come to life!
This is truly a video history of the making of Let It Be. I found it fascinating to see the up and close interactions between the band members. There's also plenty of non-interactions, where the band seems very disconnected. There are also times they appear disinterested in making this album. They did perform the impromptu rehearsal on the rooftop of the EMI building. But they were never able to prepare for a regular concert at a venue with people. Geez, I wonder why? There was a massive amount of material to sift through, but I think Peter Jackson did a masterful job in compiling a thorough documentary. There's a lot to digest when watching this 3-disc set, which spans 468 minutes (that's a lot). Personally, I watched one disc per night (unless you have eight hours to spare in a day). I did not get the sense that the group was coming together for future collaborations. I got the sense that they were falling apart as a group, and they were heading their separate ways. Let It Be.
