Panther Armor Cat Scratch Furniture Protector, 18 Double-Sided Tape Sheets

I absolutely recommend these for those cats that love to scratch everything! It stopped my cats from scratching the underside of my couch! And then I got a crazy kitten and he had no fears about getting stuck in it 😭

It works, even though it is sticky. You can get stuck to it before you apply it to the furniture, lol

FIRST: This product does what it sets off to do; My cats do not touch anywhere that has the double stick tape sheets on it. BUT: Unless you're using a WHOLE HUGE SHEET EVERY TIME, it is EXTREMELY difficult to set up. They have "tabs" on the end, so you can easily separate the 2 protective backings, but if you have to trim it smaller than one huge sheet, GOOD LUCK on getting that backing off both sides. I just spent 15 minutes of my life working the corners (after easily getting ONE side of the back off because of the offeset backing sizing) nudging, fingernailing, poking, trying different angles, trying different corners of the piece I cut. For heaven's sake, cant they just have BOTH sides of the edges be a bit offset so it doesnt take a surgeon to get it going!

This is the second time that I have purchased these and I am really impressed with the effectiveness the quality and how easy they are to install. They definitely help protect my furniture from my cat claws when they are running around on the furniture. The only downfall is that of course fur or fuzz does get stuck on them so you do need to reapply them from time to time because then you can see that they are on the furniture otherwise they really are not noticeable at all. They are very durable and the cats have not been able to remove them or punch holes in them to actually damage the furniture and I also like that they don’t damage the furniture when you take them off and reapply them

I have used various types of furniture protectors and I like these the least. I take fault in not noticing that they it says it’s sticky on both sides. I don’t like this because everything sticks on the house like clothing, hair, dust, debris, blankets etc. They are also thin so my cat’s claws can easily puncture them. I prefer the ones that are a thick plastic and are sticky on 1 side. They deter my cat from scratching because the surface is thick and his claws can’t penetrate them.

I bought these sheets back in 2021, and I finally went through all the sheets I had--I came back to reorder, and figured the least I could do is leave a review! These honestly have made a huge difference in the scratching habits of my cats. Overall I've been fortunate to have little general issues with my cats scratching my couch, but sometimes they get a wild hair and I use these to deter claws in my furniture. Pros: -Easy to use, you can cut them to sizes you may need or shapes you may need. -They work! Cats almost immediately stopped scratching when I applied them. -Long-lasting--usually it takes one or two interactions with the tape for cats to get the idea. Cons: -Things can and will stick to them once they're applied. Blankets, clothes, etc. If you're planning on placing this stuff in a high-traffic area, I'd maybe consider using the plastic sheets with pins instead. Panther makes a version of these. -In addition to sticking to clothes, the tape did pull out some fur from my cats if they stood on the tape or brushed up against it. Not ripping anything out mind you, but it will pull some loose hair out, and that can be a little gross looking. -Not all surfaces are created equal--I had some cheap curtains that the tape will not come off of. They were affordable enough I can replace them, but something to keep in mind if you plan on using these on curtains.

Images added: this product ruined my sectional. Now I can see where this product once placed and will regret it every time I see the scars it left on my furniture. I do not know how this product has so many 5 star reviews. It keeps kitties away from the sticky parts (except for one of them) but with a lot of problems. It damages the fabric/leather materials depending on the type or how it’s made? It’s working great on faux leather but my suede couch does not appreciate it. It is also hard to use. The white peeling part is hard to peel without the tag. You’d think this is the part you peel off later because it’s so hard to peel without the white “easy peel” tag while blue part is too easy to peel… When you “customize” this product, it’s gets even more annoying because, well, no easy peel tag. While trying to peel the white, the blue peels. So, the trick here is to stick the blue side adhesive to your finger tip, as you try to catch the white side. If you do not succeed in doing this, then you pretty much waste this piece. I accidentally peeled the blue side completely and tried to peel the other side without exposed adhesive touching anything. It didn’t quite work out. It touched itself. LOL. It became a sticky cousin of tangling cheap saran wrap. Its easy to use if you are using the whole piece without “customize”ing it. But if otherwise, I wish you luck. What made this already-disappointing purchase worse is that the product ATTRACTS one of my kitties and the dogs in a way or two. This particular kitty likes to lick and chew on packing tape. He thinks his dream has come true and he now has a packaging tape pieces bigger than his head. He loves licking it and that can’t be healthy. So that makes this product pretty much useless to me. And the stickiness attracts the dogs, especially my 10 week old puppy. She thinks its OH SO VERY FUNNY to put her nose and paws on the stickiness, and got so provoked by it that she started chewing the product, pulling it off the furniture. So my message, “No paws and claws on the furniture” to my furry kids backfired. I do not recommend this product especially if you have a kitty/ies that love chewing on packaging tapes and plastic bags and also a puppy/ies.

Paste this on the edges of my couch, my bed head, mattress and sprayed some cat deterrent. The boys quickly started using their dust gathering scratching posts instead. Before putting it on any surface I recommend cleaning with a lint roller, and apply carefully. The stickiness lasts, till now there hasn’t been a need to change the first ones I’ve used.

I’ve gotta be honest, I was doubting that this would work at all to prevent my cat from scratching my bed and what not. I was wrong - this is insanely effective. The immediate moment I put them on and since then, my cat hasn’t scratched my bed or the walls, or bit any cables. Anywhere this stuff is she avoids which is actually impressive and exceeded my expectations. It’s just double sided tape in essence, but the idea is brilliant. She also has a tendency to bite cables and jump at outlets (kitten still that’s why), so I also cut some pieces with an open area for the outlet, and she no longer attacks those. Also for cables I cut thin strips off and wrapped it around the cable, worked to stop that as well. The corners of the walls she would bite, she no longer does. This worked far better than I thought it would and I am highly impressed. It does exactly what it says it would do + some if you get a little crafty. Amazing product, would highly recommend this to anyone with a cat who likes to bite everything. P.S: I should note that this is my experience with my kitten, it may not be as effective for your cat/kitten. For $40 though, you can’t go wrong trying it to see if it’ll work. If it doesn’t, now you have giant double sided tape!

I bought a new sofa and my cat liked one of the corners a little bit too much hehe. I put this sticky tape and voilá! That was the solution! You can't even notice it and my cat was never again even close to the spot. It was there for about 2 months now and it looks like the first day. Awesome product!

Al sacarlos del empaque mi gato pensó que eran comida, los coloqué en todas sus partes favoritas para afilar sus uñas de mi sala y comenzó a lamerlas de manera tan intensa por que le súper encanto el sabor que arranco un pedazo y se lo comió. Bastó con un regaño para que dejara de lamer y comerse el producto, obvio continuo lamiendo sin embargo el producto se adhirió tan bien que logró hacer su función. Ya no a arañado mis sillones solo que ahora te sientas, y te pegas, se le pegan los pelos, pelusas etc y da la impresión de sala de abuelita de esas que acostumbraban a no remover el plástico para evitar el desgaste jajaja. Cómpralos, si funcionan.

Geht schnel kaputt, die katzen gehen auch daran . Es sieht auch nicht so toll aus wie auf dem Bild es löst sich auch nach einer Zeit vom Sofa ab .
