Our entire household loves flavored seltzer and we consume at least 1-2 cans in our house each day. Flavored seltzer is more exciting to drink than tap or plain bottled water. The carbonation and flavor make all the difference compared to a still, plain water drink. Recently, I came across GIST which is a prebiotic herbal seltzer. Now, not only can we get the benefits of a carbonated beverage, we can also get the benefits of the prebiotics. We have tried all of the flavors in the variety pack and it's tough to pick a favorite though I think I'm leaning towards the Oolong with Calendula. All of the varieties taste natural (because they are!), have no after-taste, have the perfect amount of carbonation and have a balanced taste profile (nothing is over-powering). Flavor combinations that surprise and delight. No added sugar or sugar substitute. Prebiotic, all-around healthful. And delicious and refreshing.For me, a perfect end of workday / weekend beverage to relax and unwind with. For my teenage, health conscious athlete grandsons, a go-to, flavorful alternative to all of the chemical- and caffeine-laden stuff that gets pitched to them every day.Our entire family, from 5 to 75, loves this drink and I feel great about making it readily available to them.

I got the variety pack of this product but noticed that there are 2 of the ginger, oolong, and chamomile (3 flavors, 2 of each), and 3 of hibiscus, and mint (2 flavors, 3 of each). I couldn’t find the details on the product page but wasn’t expecting an equal number for eqch flavor because it’s a pack of 12 and 5 flavors.Anyway… I started with the hibiscus and first thing I noticed is that this is a very honest label! There is barely any sugar or sweet taste (label says sugar amount is trivial and noted it as zero). The taste is as if you made hibiscus tea then refrigerated it. The seltzer is quite weak.The protein amount is only 2 grams, so I would disrespect the ‘plant protein’ given how small it is (especially if you don’t like plant protein, then don’t worry, it’s tiny).The benefit is the prebiotics and organic ingredients.I’m giving it 4 stars because it tastes okay and is true to label. If you like natural drinks then this is for you.

Gist has a wonderful variety of interesting flavors not found in other drinks. The light carbonation is refreshing. I love that it's not sweetened and it's a prebiotic drink. Two favorite flavors were Mint with Orange Peel and Hibiscus with Lemon Balm. I will definitely purchase Gist again and share with guests.

These are the grossest things I've ever tasted. They all have a tea flavored undertones but my God they're awful. The metal was also all stained and I don't know what it is. Do not recommend.

I was really looking forward to trying these. If you are used to drinking sweet soda, this is not that at all. These don’t have sugar, but they do have fiber and prebiotics which are good for you. Subverting my expectations, these weren’t that bad for “healthy” drinks. I only tried three flavors for reasons I will explain. I didn’t like the oolong tea, it tasted like sour tea. I think the ginger was okay, it almost hit a ginger ale type flavor. The hibiscus was okay, I think it was the most tolerable. The prebiotics in these I believe really upset my stomach, because the days I did not drink one I was fine. Not just slightly upset, it was an all day thing. If you even suspect you have a sensitive stomach or have something like IBS, I would stay away from this. I see that other people really like this, so it could just be a me thing. Also, I don’t really know if this is worth the price, it’s fairly expensive for what it is.

I was skeptical at the different flavors but was so excited to give them a try! These are not only plant-based with no sugar but they definitely make you feel good and are the perfect sipper for during the day or to bring to work. Definitely will be repurchasing!!
