I bought this for use with a new HX Stomp modeller and it is fabulous. For me it is pretty much "in the room" - better than other alternatives I have tried - studio monitors (by far) and a passive guitar cab with poweramp. It really makes a massive difference and is highly recommended. You can pay a lot of money for an FRFR cab and I don't know personally how it compares to much more expensive speakers, but I can't believe that there could be much difference.
