I wanted to hang additional lighting (LED 8 foot light strips) in my basement but did not want to hardwire them in. These took care of the problem. I was able to screw the socket outlet adapter into the original light socket and plug the LED lights into those. Worked perfect!

Wonderful adapter, especially if you have no outside outlets! Perfect for Christmas lights and many other uses.

Was a good product but package was damaged and one socket was bent I will eat the loss because one of them was in perfect condition

It screws into a regular light socket. It has a 3-prong outlet on one side, a 2-prong outlet on the other. My outlet tester showed correct wiring on the 3-prong outlet, including working ground. IDK how, maybe through the neutral leg?At first my LED lightbulb didn't work when screwed in, so I lifted the center contact blade in the bottom of the socket a few millimeters with needle nose pliers. Worked fine after that.

This has two places for cords. One is for 3 prong cord. This receptacle is upside down relative to the cord that can be inserted. I single, grounding prong is on the side that screws into the light socket, so that plud must have its cord exiting toward the socket in the fixture. This is impossible, so that plug is useless. I realize it was designed by a Chinese company. They should have paid attention to U.S. standards.

These nice looking outlets come well packaged and do exactly what you buy them for.A few points worth noting - the length of this is perfect. You can plug in a variety of sizes and shapes of plugs without the club getting in the way. This is very well designed and delivers on its promise.We’ve all seen other plug outlets that are just poorly designed. They are too short - so when you try to plug in an odd sized plug (like a rectangle block or a big transformer plug) you’ll be blocked by the light bulb. Or, the plug is at a weird angle that it just doesn’t work.Not this one. A simple product that delivers 100% of its promise.You’re going to need these at some point for something. Why not have them on hand so you don’t have to wait a day or two for them to be shipped.

These adapters are garbage. They are cheaply made and I don't think they are safe for use. The base isn't attached firmly enough to the body, and as such as you screw it in the base will stick in the socket, and the body of the adapter will keep turning. I was wondering why it took so many turns and why I wasn't getting power. To the seller's credit, they did issue a refund quickly. Don't buy these, save your money and find another option or install an actual outlet if you can.
