Pros: Extremely long, long lasting, easily can be hid behind things, perfect fit into line, and durable.Cons: There really aren't any cons.This ethernet cable came in really handy when I had a problem with my old one messing up. Never have had a problem with it. The reason I looked for a cable like this was because my router and my line jack are very far from each other. I needed that was lengthy enough to rap around some book shelves and go along a long wall. With this in mind I searched amazon for the long ethernet cable. I didn't want one like my last one which was not durable but at same time needed one that was pretty long. I got that ethernet cable from my cable/internet company and it would continually slip out while I was using the internet and forced me to push it back in every once in a while. It also was sort of short and barely reached to the line jack. It got to the point where it was happening almost everyday and thought it would be a good time to get a new one. This is where the Amazon Basics ethernet cable comes in. I got this cable and have ZERO trouble with it since. It was the right length I needed and fit perfectly for my situation. It wrapped around the bookshelves and ran across a wall. It being hid behind everything was perfect too. Since buying this product I have never once touched it thinking it was a problem with it. Perfect buy!

This cable is well made and well priced. Works great! Good solid connections to switchport and device. Good quality "ethernet" cables and plugs. No loss of data or speed, as far as I can tell, along the length of the cable. It was just what we needed to hard wire our Roku into the internet. Now we have quick internet streaming! Upon returning to school this year I found that the impossible had happened. The free university Wi-Fi had somehow, someway become worse than it had been in previous semesters. As you can probably imagine, this bothered the hell out of me. And I wasn’t about to let it continue either.So I set out to find an Ethernet cable and lo and behold I found this one on Amazon for an impossibly reasonable price. To say this was “convenient” would be an understatement. A 14 foot cable for less than 6 bucks with Prime shipping? My excitement could not be contained. Easy, affordable, and effective. I couldn’t ask for more.I’ve been using this product daily for the past few months and I have to say it performs just as well as I expected it to. It provides flawless internet connection while, at the same time, is long enough to reach my laptop even if I decide to sit a few feet from the plug-in. It can also be wrapped up and transported quite easily and does not come unplugged if you accidently bump it, tug it, etc.So if you need an Ethernet cable, this is a great place to get it. You even have the option of ordering a 25 foot cable or a 50 foot cable for just a couple bucks more. Not sure where that extra 30+ feet is needed, but hey, you have the option!

This is a great cable at an excellent price. Non snag piece works well as well.One thing I did not expect is, the cable itself is quite hard. For this is a cable with plugs already installed, I expected stranded type cable which are usually very flexible. By the feel of it, I think this is a solid wire type. That would mean constant flexing can cause internal breakage causing difficult to diagnose issues. To be sure, I will have to cut into the cable and I am NOT going to do that. For a semi-permanent to permanent installation, this will not be an issue. But for temporary setup or in a situation constant flexing of the cable is expected, it may not work as well. Something to keep in mind.

Just like any other AmazonBasics product, this Ethernet cable is the only one you'll need. It's basic, cheap and works perfectly. I purchased this cable for my college apartment bedroom. I was using a relatively short cable that came with a router to make use of the high-speed wired connection at this college. I wanted to be a little more mobile with my laptop and wireless was not as fast as the wired connection. This purchase improved my quality of life a little, and I am happy with it.The price for this Ethernet cable is amazing. My college bookstore sells 8-feet ones for about $10. For $6, you get a nice and long Ethernet cable to go from the Internet port in your wall to the router you may be installing in a central location of your home.This cable came in pretty good packaging and uncoiled very well. Just a little bit of straightening and stretching and it does not coil up anymore. Moreover, it comes with a little protector for the clip. It hasn't been particularly useful to me, but it may be for some.

This cable is just the right size form my needs. I had used a 75 and 25 food CAT5e cable in the past. Both cables worked as expected. The 75 foot had way too much slack and the 25 foot has to little slack. This cable has just enough slack.The box was easy to open and connect to my computer and switch. It will take a few seconds before the network connection is made.The cable works good and the price is reasonalb.e I am happy with the purchase.
