I ordered it to cut wooden shims down to whatever size I need and it works great for that but I've also found that it works great for cutting carpet. Blades easy to change and high quality all the way around

Exceptional tool for odd jobs. I mostly use mine for cutting tubing and trimming flowers. A utility knife (razor) is held securely in one jaw and an anvil is held in the other jaw of this plier-like tool. Smooth, perfect cuts. The razor is easily replaced by unscrewing two screws. This is the first set that I've bought that has a storage bin inside the handle for extra blades. This anvil blade is made of metal, not like some others that are mostly plastic. There are good gripping handles that are also ergonomic and comfortable. There is also a safety latch for the spring-loaded tool.

These cutters are outstanding, I have cut rope, tubing, polypropylene, nylon , and Paracord and these cutters work great. I was having getting a clean cut with climbing ropes and these cutters go through them like a hot knife. The cuts are quick and easy, and are truly amazing, I am very happy with them. The only thing I would have liked to have seen is an extra base plate, I am trying to find one and it appears I have to contact the company who is in Cali. USA. All in all their great. I use these constantly out in the garage. They work like a dream for cutting oil / fuel lines, and I love that the blades are commonly found an cheap / easy to replace. You'll find yourself reaching for these things all the time once it's in your toolbox, and the price is right. A great value and an true enhancement to your shop.

I bought this cutter for a specific job. I didn’t think I would use it again after the job, yet I was wrong. I find that I use this quite often, far more than I anticipated. It cuts just about anything you need to cut or chop off. It’s nice because it makes such a straightforward clean cut. Quickly becoming one of my favorite tools. As far as the tool is concerned, it is excellent quality, far better than I expected. Quite sturdy and well made. One of the few tools that I have that isn’t a name brand. If Knipex makes one of these I might have to get one!
