Makes boat canopy tie down a cinch!!
Been using these for ten years on my boat for the canopy. Allows for quick adjustment to be able to tighten or loosen for quick storage. Highly recommend!!

Works perfect to keep outboard from shifting while traveling
I used two of these to keep my 50hp motor on bass tracker from shifting left or right when in tow. Hooked one each at the front of the motor which had a metal bracket with a hole, hooked the other ends to each side of the boat anchor latches, tighten, done. Easy to undo and relatch. The only thing hard is the latch on the ratchet. If tighten, you’ll need a key or screw driver to release the latch. It’s gets pretty tight. My fingers are to big and you’ll pull your nail if you choose to unlatch it that way. Just insert a key or something stiff enough to release the latch in the ratchet. Other then this minor extra step, works perfect for me. Saved About $60+ from buying an outboard wedge or transom saver or other methods to keep the outboard from shifting left or right when towing. $14 bucks works for me.

So awesome I ordered more!
I ordered a set of four of these in 2017. I don't think I ever ended up using them for the kayak stowage function they are advertised for, but I did use them for camping. They are FREAKING AWESOME for making a "taut line" to for above your hammock (or rain fly, net, etc.) or guy lines for a tarp, rain fly or other such purposes. They are so awesome that I just ordered 8 more, which arrived yesterday. Highly recommended for this purpose. Way faster and easier than messing around with other hardware for making taut lines (figure 9s, etc.). They ARE bulky - so great for car camping, but less so for motorcycle camping or backpacking. In those instances, I would still bring one, for my "main line" though. They're just so easy and fast to use!In my attached photo, this product us keeping the line between my tent and the tree to the far left tight.

Great Quality and design
These were an add on item when I purchased kayak racks and I'm so glad I got them! Good quality rope and the hooks and ratchet are super easy and smooth. This is going to work way better for tying down kayaks, canoe, etc ...without the clunky ratchet straps we used to use for the ends to the trunk and hood of vehicle.Recommend these for anyone who needs to tie down kayaks, canoe, etc...to a bumper or with special tie down accessories.

Listen Up! As other reviewers have said, the rope/line is too short for many applications.
Received these today, and this evening did a test run with my 14' 6" kayak on a 1997 Sable/Taurus station wagon, which sits low and is not a large vehicle. With front fender loops as anchor points, the line for the bow tie down was just long enough. About 4 feet short for tying down the stern, where anchor points are holes in the box brace under the rear bumper fascia. The lines only come down from the kayak to the top of the bumper/load floor. If I used one central mounted hose-type anchor loop that you slam in the trunk/hatch lid, the line would be long enough. An 18" soft tie anchored to the latch bar of the load floor cover does work, but prefer an "A" tie down configuration. These are easy to use, just be aware one of the hooks is attached directly to the ratchet mechanism, as is obvious in the photo. The rope/line on these is about 8 feet long, so you could measure from your anchor points to see if these will work for you. Be nice if they came in a 12' length. I will probably switch out the rope for a longer piece. It is simple to remove and replace the rope/line.
