Preservation Solutions' Klucel G is a leather consolident used to treat leather that is starting to deteriorate or become powdery from “Red Rot”. It creates a permanent flexible webbing which strengthens the leather and prevents the spread of "Red Rot". It is excellent for treating and repairing deteriorating leather books/bindings and other fragile antique leather articles. Preservation Solutions' Klucel G is a powder in the raw form. When mixed with denatured or isopropyl alcohol it forms a gel. This gel is also referred to as Cellugel. Note: Alcohol is not included. It is recommended to use Restoration Leather Conditioner on leather treated with Klucel G. This conditioner is formulated for treating fragile leather.

I used it on an older leather bound book I didn't want to continue deteriorating. It stopped the wearing of the cover and it's great. I'm so glad I have this now. If any of my leather books start to look like they are peeling I'll bust this stuff out and nip it in the bud.

Works very well on leather
This works really well! I used it on my old leather rifle slings to restore them. I recommend this product
