I placed this drive in a 5 bay external case and it is working fine. I’ve purchased several Toshiba drives over the years and I have not had any problems.

I have Zero Complaints about this hard drive.. it is super fast. And can not hear it at all. And faster than my 2TB WD Black SN770 internal SSD. Transfer is fast. And I noticed that if I download or transfer files or update files the speeds are more than Twice as fast. Massive Downloads are no longer an issue. The wait time is cut down drastically. And Multi boxes in my screen is no longer lagged or delayed I will be buying this again very soon for my other Gaming computer build. And they also make a Security system HD as well so I will be upgrading my 2tb HD for my security cameras to something above 6TB or Higher. Definitely can't beat the performance and speed. And the price is more than reasonable. The installation was very easy depending on your tower build. I had a internal slot for 3 HD's built right inside the glass on the outer frame only thing I needed to do was move a wire down and under instead of up and over preventing the HD Holder Lock to secure. So depending on your tower I would say total installation time would be around 3 minutes then you must configure it another 5 minutes. Also don't forget to Buy the screws if you are attaching it to the HD Tray itself I did not notice any screws with this HD or maybe I missed it I don't know. Hope this helps. Definitely a great buy..

Hard Drive is almost as fast as my WD Black. Works great so far. Beware that Amazon shipped this product in its OEM box with a shipping label on it. My box was damaged in shipping but fortunately the product works. My friends was shipped in a bubble wrap envelope so at least his was in better shape. Luck of the draw on Amazon's packaging practice.

Not the highest capacity anymore, but excellent performance and reliability. It's a 7k rpm Toshiba workstation drive, so it shouldn't be your first choice if quiet operation is high on your list of priorities.

I spent close to 600 SGD on this device. Firstly, the delivery was way delayed beyond my wildest estimate i.e. arrived after 2 months from the order placed on amazon.sg. On the very first attempt to connect with my laptop, it did not detect the HDD. I tried 3 laptops (2 of them Windows and 1 Mac). Same result. The drive whirls for a fee mins on connecting, then goes silent. terrible product. I got cheated by a defective product from a reputed manufacturer like Toshiba.
