Written for teenagers?
The writing and characters are so plain that you would think this book is aimed at 12 year olds.It goes on forever about baking, cakes and food, and all the female characters (including the main one who was apparently a successful bakery owner who had the guts to move to Greece) are caricatures of insecure women with low-self esteem, who just like shopping and wine.Even the female and male friendships are so basic that you think someone who’s never had a friend written what they thought women and men speak about. Not to mention that there is no hurdle to overcome - the protagonists successfully sell their house and business and buy and diy a house in greece with no obstacles (took me a week to paint a room, but they fixed it all up in no time - sure!) and with the world’s friendliest neighbours.Too fantastical for me, with shallow characters and weak interactions and descriptive parts.

Sunshine and romance
I adore this story, full of sun, romance and hope. This was a lovely read with characters that were believable. Charlie and her dream to move from UK and live in Crete was a happy one

Easy summer read
Strong characters and storyline. Gently fun and flirty. Leaves the reader identifying with the Greek atmosphere and wanting more. Well written.
