Yes, straws are bad for the environment. Now that we've gotten that out-of-the-way these are excellent! If you're going to be drinking Boba tea or a smoothie you need a straw. That's the bottom line, and sometimes you can't use a permanent one. Like if you're going on a trip, or if you have your kids doing the dishes. Because let's face it, they don't clean the inside of the straws all the way and we don't need to get sick. Do we? No we do not. Once they learn how to do the dishes properly probably get some of those permanent straws, but for now, we are all feeling better because we've got these. What I like is there also a strong enough to be able to handle the Boba and a smoothie with no problem at all, not all straws are like that, and some of them end up breaking. Some of them are broken before you even put them in the cup. That drives me, nuts! You won't find any of those broken straw here.
