Wonderfully Designed, Easy to Use.
A foot-operated can crusher is not something you come across often. I've been using this product for quite some time now, and it's been fantastic. It's a great option when you don't want to mount similar devices on the wall.

It works ok but…
This product arrived on-time and properly packaged. “Some assembly” is required but it only took a few minutes to configure… A rubber mallet was needed to properly seat the two upright spring bars into the base.I was frankly surprised that aside from the spring bars, everything is made of plastic. That makes me wonder how long it will last with regular use.I was able to easily crush a pile of plastic beverage bottles but the thicker ones mostly ended up flattened rather than crushed. I tried in on a couple of larger juice bottles and a plastic milk bottle… These too were mostly flattened rather than crushed. The foot pedal sticks and often does not return to its full upper position. All and all, all the bottles were flattened or at least compacted. Time will tell how well this stands up to regular usage.

Perfect!
I had tried something else to crush my cans but it was very heavy and nearly impossible to use. This one is perfect, lightweight and with a quick "stomp" I'm done. Great product!

Not worth the price
This is not worth the money. It's very expensive and cheaply made. Go for the one that has the handle that pulls down. I wanted to get my grandaughter t learn to scrap aluminum and it's,not child friendly, you have to dent the can before putting it in the crusher and it doesn't crush into a disk, it squashes out and leaves a pointed sharp edge. It would be better and easier to just stomp on it with my foot. So now I'm stuck with this thing I only used once and tried to return but missed the 30 day return time which I wasnt aware of. Had no computer access for the past month. So unhappy and frustrated. That's alot of money to lose for me.

Works perfectly
I thought this might be kind of cheap quality, but we've been using this for almost a year and it's like it's brand new. We use this multiple times a week because we drink a lot of soda and water.

Not everyone drinks soda.
Putting this together was easy, a little clumsy, but easy. there are only seven parts, two rods, two springs that go into the rods and three plastic pieces, one for the top, one to step on and one for the base. The one for the base is what I want to address. It is 8" X 5". I guess it was made solely for 64 oz bottles and nothing else. I don't drink soda, I drink water and I always use gallon bottles of water but getting rid of them is a problem for me. I have to have someone take them out for me. The gallon plastic bottle does not fit into the base of this crusher. It needs to be at least 6" instead of 5"across. I can crush it and it crushes easily, but it takes a while to get it just perfectly in position. This is also kind of flimsy. I did several bottles and it fell apart. The side rods are very hard to push all the way it. I'm going to try a rubber mallet next. While I appreciate what this crusher does, it just isn't worth the price for two tubes and three pieces of plastic. I looked and looked for an alternative and couldn't find one. I guess this will have to do.The rubber mallet worked. The side rods are in as far as they can go and it makes it a bit more solid. Don't hit too hard and hold the opposite side or it will pop up.

Wouldn't "rebound" and return shipping surprise :(
I loved the idea of this product. Upon receipt, I started to use it and quickly noticed the top plate wouldn't "rebound" after the can was crushed most of the time. I re-read the instructions to make sure I was using it properly, so I removed the towel I had under it as it says a flat surface is required and I carefully made sure each can was properly placed and had a dent in it (as recommended). Even after I did that, I estimate that only 2 or 3 times out of 10 it would rebound without me manually lifting the top plate back into position. It got tedious after a while so I figured especially with the high price of the item, it wasn't worth me keeping it.The item was shipped to me in a product box which was not contained within a different shipping box, so the original product box had some dents in it from the original shipping. When I went to process the return, I had quite a surprise! First, the instructions said I could ship it back any method, and I would be refunded $3.99 once the return was received. That rubbed me the wrong way, but I figured I must have missed that it was not a free return item for Prime Members. When I checked to see the cost to return it, between UPS, USPS and FedEx, the least expensive method was $21.48!It bothered me that I had to pay that amount of shipping for a product that didn't work as described, so I called Amazon and they agreed to offer me a refund for the return shipping I paid, which I was quite appreciative of. I also checked the product description again and it did say "Free returns" so I'm still not sure why I got the instructions I did.Great product idea - it may have just been my experience that was "off" what was expected but I'm very disappointed it didn't work as expected.

Great customer service
This is a very nicely designed can crusher. I previously had a wall mounted one, but it only worked with 12-oz. cans and today it seems as if cans appear in many shapes and sizes. I much rather prefer the floor mounted option. It crushes all types of cans and bottles. My product had a slight problem, but the customer service support I received with the company has been outstanding. They are very prompt in their responses and are sending a replacement unit out to me directly. In today's day and age of faceless companies, it is nice to do business with a company that cares about it's customers and works with them. I should receive the replacement soon and will update the review. Just based on the company's customer service, know that you are buying from a reputable seller and you will receive a good product.
