Great for beginners even for experts 🤍

I'm a beginner looking to tackle various home improvement projects and want to do it myself with the help of manuals. I'm looking for manuals with instructions that are descriptive as possible with a lot of illustrations. This one is ok. It's a little lacking in the instructions department but serviceable enough if you're fairly competent.

This not only walks you through each step, it also provides so many ideas. Love it.

Great for a DYI junkie

A little outdated.But still a good source for DIY.

It is a must have if you like to do the minor bath and kitchen jobs by yourself. It is very clear to guide you one step by the other. However, I think it is too hard for me to finish any project by myself. Any way, it is a good book.

If you're looking for something in-depth and with detailed info on how to remodel and actually install a custom bath or shower keep looking, this won't do. I was hoping this would have got into how to make a custom shower mortar/deck mud shower pan. Could have gone online or looked at a home and garden type magazines to get general ideas and general information which this does covers.

This book provides some good overviews of what it takes to complete each project in a remodel. It helped me identify the tools I would need and how long it would probably take. I searched online videos to supplement the how-to instructions.The design portions of this book are outdated.

Good to have a home to do book.
