For the larger tents, not the smaller ones
This is for the full size tents, not the smaller ones.After setting up my Stingray Tent a few times I have realized using 4 straps as detailed below really helps the tent go more places.I like using 3 large 1.5" straps. Then using a smaller 1" strap to pull one of the big lines into proper alignment by using another tree.Attach the smaller ratchet along the larger strap (in the same manner you would attach the larger ratchet to the tent)Next attach the smaller strap to a tree in the direction the line needs to move.Now if you tighten the smaller strap it will correct the larger straps position.
