I got the 256GB version. It's fast. I did a quick benchmark in a coworker's Galaxy S8 and got 260 MB/s read and 153 MB/s write using the application "A1 SD Bench". It works in my old Galaxy S5, but is severely bottlenecked by the internal micro SD controller. I used ATTO Bench to test it with a USB 3.0 UHS-II compatible reader (Kingston FCR-HS4) on my desktop and it maxes at 206 MB/s read using the SD adapter and 88 MB/s using the native micro SD slot. I think the reader and/or my USB connection may the limiting factor there. I will have to do some more testing.

This solved some major problems I was having with shooting video in 5K. Works great.

For some reason I can't post any of the photos I took of the write speed tests, but on almost every single set of tests ( each test consisted of four independent passes) I had one pass that was in the 140 mb/s range, whereas every other pass would be in the 220-260 mb/s range. The read speeds were always very consistent, and never varied much from 235 mb/s. So yes the card is plenty fast but is inconsistent. There was another review with an image posted where results were under 30mb/s in the image. I suspect the person inserted the micro SD card directly into the micro SD card slot in their computer, which is only a standard UHS speed, and can't perform either a read or write operation at above 30 mb/s regardless of how fast the card is. You would need a high-speed card reader plugged into a usb-c port to get the maximum results from the card. I know this because I tried measuring the card speed both directly from my computer's micro SD slot, which resulted in read and write speeds under 30 mb/s, and with a high-speed reader plugged into the usb-c port of my computer, which resulted in the much faster readings I mentioned above. And lastly, the speed of the card did not vary at all whether I measured it with the adapter or without, as measured through my high-speed card reader.

I had read some flakey reviews but I think they were based on older equipment or dirty contacts. Mine has been in and out of readers, a camera, a phone and a USB adapter and the data FLIES with up-to-date equipment. Be sure to use devices worthy of the tech.

This MicroSD is well worth every penny! Perfect for 4K video!

Stopped working after 11 months. Previously worked in Samsung Galaxy Note 8 then one-day phone said there was no card. The card was not found when placed in Note 9 or in PC. Attempting to get a warranty replacement from ADATA. 09/21/18 Update - I received a replacement SD Card. Very painless process; put in for an RMA number on the ADATA website, received number (which you have to have to return), sent the damaged card, received a replacement. The whole process took 10 days. Sure, I'm upset that I lost all my data, but I do take some responsibility for not backing it up. I may give them another try someday simply because the return process was pretty easy, but I do have other less expensive SD cards that have lasted years. Hopefully, I just got a lemon. I'll definitely back up my phone regularly! 12/03/18 Just over two months on replacement card and it stopped working. Sorry ADATA, I really wanted to like your card, but they are awful, expensive pieces of junk. DO NOT BUY!
