La Crosse Technology WT-3144S 14 Inch Atomic Analog Silver Wall Clock

My wife and I run a massage therapy practice that has four treatment rooms and a reception area where we need good quality, easily readable clocks that are quiet and sturdy. It was my dream to have atomic clocks so that every clock is synched up and would adjust itself for daylight savings. In the past, not only was it a bummer to have to come in and change each individual clock... it would also be problematic for each clock to drift over time so that one was five minutes fast... one was seven minutes slow... etc... Two Therapists would start at the same time in different rooms but come out several minutes apart. Being a control freak - that drove me crazy. Now we don't have the problem. If I am in the main office or another treatment room and my clock says "2:27 pm" I know that all the other rooms are exactly the same. Yes!So in addition to this awesome capability, these clocks are BIG so they are easy to see from across the room in a dimly lit environment. They are also almost completely silent. No loud ticking noise. Also a huge bonus. For us, these were so easy to set up. Just put the battery in, change the time zone to Eastern, make sure Daylight Savings Time was on and they set themselves within an hour. Hung them on the walls with one small nail and we were done.If you need a multi-room synched time clock solution, these should be your ticket. We couldn't be happier with them and we recommend them highly!

Unit I have is now over three years old and works so well I gave one to a niece and her husbandand both appreciate this great clock. All you do is to place a single AA battery, set it for your Time Zone,then Summer Time or Standard Time, place it near a window and overnight sets itself. The battery lasts over a year but as a soul of caution check battery strength each time change using an inexpensive Universal Battery Tester purchased also from Amazon checking every battery powered device including smoke/carbon dioxide detectors and flashlights. As a former U.S. Navy Quartermaster-Navigator I want all my time pieces accurate to the very second and this is the unit I set all of them by.

I am very happy with my purchase of this atomic wall clock. It's attractive, easy to read from a distance and, important to me, I don't have to take it down (I have it mounted fairly high) twice a year to adjust the time for Daylight Savings Time. I'm in my late 60's and getting on a ladder is not something that I'm completely comfortable doing. The clock was easy to set-up following the instructions included: inserted battery, toggled switch to "yes" for Daylight Savings Time and then placed it on a wall facing toward Fort Collins, Colorado. As the instructions indicate, the hands of clock will go around and around the face of the clock until it detects the signal from Colorado---it then sets itself to the correct time. In my case this took about 1-1/2 hrs. Very nice atomic wall clock for the price.

This is the second LaCrosse clock we have had. The other is the indoor/outdoor that is hanging on the garage wall in the yard. Both were a snap to set. They do it themselves! Read the instructions, choose your time zone, put in the new battery and set the clock facing Colorado. I put ours on the floor propped up against the patio doors facing West. The minute hand spins around and stops. Then let it go. We left for the morning and when we came home about 4 hrs later, it was set to the proper time. Looks fine on the kitchen wall, no one will touch it and notice it is plastic, but it shines enough to match the stainless steel appliances. I would buy this or any of their other products in a heartbeat. Even will adjust for Daylight Savings (ours both came pre-set for that feature). Cost about $8 more than the last clock we had and that kept losing time constantly. Good value and convenience for the price. Has kept perfect time, love having the second hand too.

The clock is excellent. Good value; if you get different trim colors the price for the same clock can be cheaper. I had the clock in my office. In the morning when everything is dead silent, and I'm studying, there is still a barely perceptible tick that can be heard - I sit about 6 feet away and it is wall mounted about 8 feet up. As far as a mechanical clock goes, it probably is as quiet at it can get. I put the clock in another room and am using a digital wall clock in its place..

Purchase this to replace a kitchen clock that finally died after 14 years. Found the setup to be very easy. Insert the battery, choose your time zone, and you're done. Directions said that the clock may take up to several days to set itself, but ours did so the first night. After sunset, apparently, it's better able to pick up the signal (it does this every night), and both the minute and second hand reset themselves if necessary. So far, it's been working flawlessly. I wanted a clock that was easily seen from across the kitchen from our family room, and this one definitely is, with prominent black hands and numbers against a white background. The frame is a brushed silver and around the bezel is highly polished, giving it a very nice, clean look. As others have said, the diameter is slightly smaller than the 14" description - about 13 1/4" or so. We're very happy and would definitely purchase this again if we had to do it over.

I bought this for my home office and so far this wall clock works great. The "nickel" finish looks good from far away but close up a bit cheap. The atomic auto setting works fine for me but I am in Colorado, close to the source of the signal. The manual is awful, and did not explain how to set time zone and daylight savings options. Fortunately the switches are self explanatory and since the clock only supported 4 time zones , easy to figure out.
