Are th drawer bottoms particle board or sturdy

They r a very stiff board. This is the third pc of prepac furniture I have purchased. It has all been very sturdy and holds up very well.

how are the glides? are they ball bearing glides or the cheap plastic type? would you recommend this product?

The slides are typical side mounted drawer slides. I'm not sure what a ball bearing glide looks like, but these are metal with with a wheel on the end that glides through the railing. The dresser does the job for me, it's ikea quality and fit my price point but it's definitely nothing fancy.

what are the demensions of the drawrs?

The 5" height that Suzanne provided is the height of the side (made of wood) of each drawer on mine, but there is also about 1 1/2" above that in each drawer. Many items won't need the side material to be the whole height of the drawer face. I think there is also better air flow. I like it!
