As two members of the older generation this step ladder is very sturdy with wide steps to stand on. Rubber protection on feet useful on hard floors. We have both felt very safe using it and would recommend.

These step ladders are certainly safer. They are wider and have more stability. The steps are not smooth so feet are less likely to slip or slide. Being larger they require more space and are more cumbersome to move. The major reason why I did not grade 5* is that they were very difficult to set up and stiff to use re: opening and closing.
