Expensive, but great paper. Very happy
Great paper, I have used many of the smaller pads like this. I am very happy with this larger one, but, the paper seems to be slightly less sturdy than the earlier pads that I have bought. But, it is still a good choice. I like the paper very much and this larger pad is really nice.

excellent book, good paper quality, lies flat
No complaints here--never had 95 lb paper behave so well! it is the perfect size and barely puckers, and is great for traveling. highly recommend.

Enjoyable
This a large watercolor book. From page 1, you may paint. The paper has the same consistency across the middle of the book. So if you want to paint on 2 pages for one scene you may.

Not quality paper
I was excited to get this sketchbook because I heard good things. Not good for watercolor as the paper will not take much water without warping.Might be better for other mediums.

Ummm, it was a let down for me.
I had to order this from the UK to be able to try it out... getting Hahnemuhle paper and books isn't easy over here in the USA still. I had tried one of their regular papers, it was a sample pack from DaVinci paints. I liked it. I had heard so much overwhelming awesomeness about them and this book.... it just didn't pan out for me. I wanted to love it. I definitely LOVE this size, but I didn't like the paper. I primarily use fountain pen and watercolors and the paper was just too thin and buckled too much... and that wasn't even using too much water - I wasn't doing any crazy wet-on-wet stuff, just on-location urban sketching with pen and watercolor... If you are just going to do light pen & pencil work, you will probably be fine. I think I'll have to stick to Pentel and keep hoping this size will become a thing, it's not as easily portable of a size, but it is heavenly to work at - especially for being out and doing urban-sketching and plein-air journaling.

Not What I Expected.
The fabric cover is nice, and that's about all I can say for it. For all the fuss about Hahnemuhle products I've seen online, this paper wasn't what I hoped. My watercolors come out looking "mushy" somehow, no matter how hard I try to lay down clean sections of paint. The paper won't allow smooth washes, and it also doesn't like scrubbing at *all* so be careful if that's a favored technique of yours. It's a workable book for sit-down watercolor sketching at home (and forget fully-rendered, finished pieces), but that isn't what I wanted it for. I was hoping to do some outdoor sketching, but this book is too big and it doesn't fold under itself, so juggling both it and a pocket watercolor paint box, let alone a brush, is impossible. There are better watercolor sketchbooks out there for less than what I paid here; I'd give this one a pass unless you just love the aesthetic of this particular book.
