Emily Post's Etiquette, The Centennial Edition

It’s a modern version of original book released in 1922. It has chapters addressing 21 Century developments blended with 19th century traditions covering topics from business video call etiquette, or how to best address transgender people to where “no white after Labor day” tradition many younger people never heard of. It will tell you what fork to use when and how to best respond to someone in a difficult situation. It’s a very easy read, good quality print. Highly recommend.

This book is positively amazing. I first learned of it from The Celebrity PA Network because I work for a VIP and needed to brush up on my protocol and manners. This book is an easy read and covers just about anything you can imagine.

An excellent and impactful read so far; however, there are sprinkles of political correctness through out the book: “safe space,” “cultural appropiation,” multiple “pro-nouns” etc. Not necessarily a deciding factor for me, since I already had a glimpse of the preview, I knew what to expect and decided to purchase the book anyways. Still, potential buyers should take this into consideration.

This book is truly exceptional and covers a variety of topics! Each chapter includes reference guides that make it easy to locate content at a glance. I wholeheartedly believe everyone should own a copy of Emily Post’s Etiquette; it is a valuable resource that increases awareness of social grace.

Emily Post is precious. Her philosophy is not about following arbitrary manners, but about consideration, respect and honesty; those principals support meaningful human relations.

Let's face it we all know someone who could benefit from some light reading on etiquette. I am still waiting to see the results, but I do see progress.

I got mine in the early 80s before I got married the first time and I’ve referred to it so many times. I love that this one is updated. Bought it as an engagement gift. Hope she likes it and uses it as much as I have mine.

I have an older edition from 1990s and it had index tabs on pages and included business and wedding events too. Kinda disappointed when I got my new edition and it wasn't indexed and I had to buy another book(s) to get other information that was included in the past. Times change.

This is what I needed. I always had a doubts how to place a glasses on the table and dessert tools when servered more than three courses. Now I have a good source of information. Some of the information included are very basic like how to create invitation etc. But I can imagine that not all know how to do it. The book is good quality, paper is nice and the graphics are very clean and easy to read. I was wanting this book for quite long b the price was always a no. Finally I decided to pay 30€ for it and I’m happy to have it on my shelf.

Covers everything so perfect reference if your’e unsure of anything
